  1. Why not just have the barrel you have cut down? Is it a vent rib? If it is vent rib its just a matter of them cutting it to the post and redrilling and tapping. If not, Its a simply attach a base.
  2. Mike Orlen does good work and is much cheaper than briley. Prices still current. If it was a high end gun I would go to briley just based on resale value but Mike does very good work. I believe if you are on shotgunsports.com you get stuff at dealer cost. MikeOrlen.pdf
  3. LM and Mod are fine with slugs
  4. Got one of the LEO glocks and it was the fixed sight 5.5 pound connector. Most of them I have seen that are the LEO guns have the std 5.5 pound connector. It should state on the label what one you have in the gun. I replace the sights on mine so don't miss the glock adj sights at all and saved a nice chunk of change on it. The 3rd mag is just icing on the cake
  5. I have one and it is definately a good scope especially for the money. The 4 power would be nice occasionally but I can live with the 3x max.
  6. Actually there are much better connectors out there than the factory one. The factory one feels a little more mushy than others.
  7. Use Mobile 1 or slip 2000 here for lubrication. For cleaning break cleaner or #9. I never was a fan of the all in one do all products. I like a specific product for a specific task
  8. For a non "Competition only" comp I like the PWS TTO. It is actually shorter than a std A2. It works well for the size(not as well as the competition comps), isnt near as loud either
  9. I always liked the walmart federal 4 pack at walmart for a good cheap shell. I have found the of the bulk packs, the federals run the best
  10. I would clean my chokes about once a month. I had an old brush that would get chucked on a drill. My 12 ga chokes got cleaned much more often As I had to keep them pretty much spotless or the subga tubes would not fit in the gun. I agree make sure the threads are lubed (used antiseize here) and check them on a regular basis to avoid them getting frozen in the gun
  11. Single stack, Barney Mag in the back pocket. Limited Back Mag on my belt for the chamber, Full Mag from the pocket in the gun. Production-with a loaded gun start I have a mag with 11 rounds in it to initially load the gun. It has a different color basepad on it so it is easy to tell which is which.
  12. what range are they using for the rifle match. Need to decide what gun to bring
  13. I would say if you ask ask before the make ready. I will usually tell the RO if I plan on doing something that is out of the norm especially if the way he positioned himself for other shooters would cause an issue. Reather do that than risk running an RO over and then worry about muzzle control because he was in the way.
  14. Some stage designs can be an RO trap where it is possible for the RO to get in a bad situation. An addition that a reshoot is given not optional if a safety issue is observed. Everyone remember the video where flex backs out of a port shooting and the ro is looking around the wall all it would have taken is an RO a little quick around the corner and he would have been in a very bad position.
  15. I like a 2.5 with some takeup as well. On a carry gun about 3.5-4 pounds. I like a nice crisp reliable trigger over a super light one
  16. I Run a 10.5 inch with a regular AR15 bolt and have never had a problem at all. I did put the extra power spring and oring in the extractor. That gun will run with a standard carbine buffer( usually run a spikes tactical H2 which smooths it out some). Ammo wise it runs anything from Xm193 to wolf without a bit of trouble.
  17. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product...ts_id=411538104 There is a nice revolver for him if he wants to go the wheelgun route. Every one of the guns I have seen were still in good timing and in very good mechanical shape, just been carried and shot a little
  18. Used glock. Cheap mags, reliable, not much to go wrong, cheap parts. I would avoid the hipoint and sigma for sure. Check buds.com or summitgunbroker.com
  19. Correct, if you fire one shot at it you engaged it. It actually wouldnt even have to be a hit. For it to be considered engaged if you shot at it once. The misses apply but it was engaged
  20. Are you running a flip to the side mount on the magnifier? If not I would say get a flip to the side mount or decide if you have more close or more distance targets. If you have mostly close targets I would run the dot only and loose the magnifier. With the eotech the key is to concentrate on the target not the dot which just kinda floats on the target. If you need it lighter adco can always reprofile the barrel for you
  21. http://www.triggerwork.net/ Send your trigger group and 50 bucks shipping included and it comes back in about a week , with a bobbed hammer, JP springs and feels MUCH better than the factory trigger. I have tried just the springs in the past and it dosen't feel near as nice as when he gets done with one. Had one put in my SBR and am very impressed with it.
  22. Never had any problems with mine which is the 2 pound trigger. The reset is very good so it is possible the doubleing in actually bumpfiring
  23. I keep a different color baseplate on my 11 round mag so i can keep it seperate
  24. Limited minor you might help yourself on a very few stages where the round count saves a reload. In SS minor can be a nice advantage 10 vs 8 in the mag
  25. I would go Kydex as the draw is not that much slower from Kydex than a race holster. In 3 gun with the length of the stages your not going to loose the match on the draw. You will loose it with a DQ if the pistol falls from the race holster
