  1. You can shoot open if you like, just leave a little grip tape on your production gun slide
  2. Have you tried removing the lip on the front of the inside of the mag? I have seen that to cause problems on round 18 on a 20 round 22/35 mag. Just sand it off and smooth it out. It takes just a couple min once you get the hang of it. I do it to every mag I have regardless of it it has a entention or not as it allows one to be put right on. I have had luck with the 6 and 8 followers in the 35 mags
  3. I use a bladetech one like the first one mainly as an extra mag only. If I can, I usually run the 45 rounder
  4. What "heavy lube" are you using. A light oil works best as a heavy lube can actually slow the piston down
  5. I have seen numerous problems with the walmart winchester shells sticking in guns. Seen an 870 that had to have the buttstock hit on the ground to clear it. For the cheap shells, the walmart federals work best. +1 on the 3-4-5 doubles. Great way to work on those transitions. Also shows the handling difference between a heavy and light shotgun. I will take the heavy gun after shooting enough of them with a 12 pounder
  6. They always seem to make sure to bring up they have cash like they think you will just give it to them for half price or less to feel a couple bills in the hand.
  7. I use to shoot a ton of skeet and liked a gun that shot about 70/30. I always liked being able to see the target better so I liked being under it. With a 50/50, I was wasting alot of the pattern below the target. In sporting, If the target is going straight up and requires verticle lead your covering it up no matter what pattern your throwing unless it shoots low. On those its best to shoot it when it peaks. The rib has an effect on how the gun shoots as well. It works as a system, the rib/bead is the front sight, the eye/comb the rear. With some of the trap ribs especially, you cant lower the comb enough to make it shoot flat and see over the rib. while it dosent apply to a browning, the barrel hangers on certain guns also effect the POI for the bottom barrel.
  8. I would stick with the chokes you have. With decent chokes, your not missing the target because of the choke, especially shooting a 12 ga gun. Drop down to a smaller ga and the smaller you go the more important the chokes are
  9. I have a 35 complete lone wolf upper and it works well. If you dont like the logo on the barrel, order it blind marked. You could always sell the factory barrel and come out even on the aftermarket
  10. My guess on the serpa would be they are pushing the button with the tip of their finger while drawingso when it comes out the finger is alaredy pushing and goes right in the trigger guard. If they used the holser correctly and slid the finger down the side over the button and pulled it out the finger would be extended and would be on the gun right where it should be on the frame above the trigger guard and extended so its not slipping in the guard.

    Glock spring

Mine is actually held down when I shoot it so it does not lock the slide back at all. I like the feel of the grip better with it there than with the flat one. I could care less if the slide locks back on empty
  12. If the pistol is not used, I usually bag the gun as to not risk it falling out if going prone etc
  13. +1 on desantis. It doesnt cause the gun to hang up at all and the holster stays in the pocket like it should
  14. I put one on my SBR just to try it out. All my ARs will be getting one now. Much easier to use. Takes a little getting use to(less than an hr) and it just feels more natural than the old way. When I use it i dont even think about it. It feels weird now running a gun without it
  15. bladetech should be able to make it for the gun. Or heat and bend the kydex yourself
  16. Yes but needs to stay on the rifle for the match ie flip to the side mount
  17. I had one similar made out of 2 uncle mikes that was under the 2 inches. The mags were farther forward than the singles but were harder to get at being so close together.
  18. Or just get a state ID for the state you are in, not a drivers license, just a state id
  19. Federally you can purchase a long gun as long as both states requirements are met. There is no touching state requirement
  20. On the 773s is it a 1.5 inch that fits the CR speed belt
  21. The trend is definately toward weakhand off the belt. You occasionally see the side saddle turn and burn being used. I usually go off the belt but have a side saddle I can put on for a match were there is going to be slugs and shot in the middle of the COF. In that case if I have to load the gun in a very specific order, I line then down the side saddle in that order and go front to back so the shells go in the order I need them in. I dont like the side saddle as well as the gun dosent balance as well with it on there.
  22. Either the moe or the MIAD is a good grip. It just depends on how big a grip you like. I have the MIAD on mine because I like the trigger guard attached and you can select whe back strap works best for you
  23. I actually had the part under the rear sight snap in half. With it snapped, its not able to be pushed up out of the way of the FP so the gun would not fire. Just said the heck with it and removed the rest of it and ran it without it. My carry gun is a series 1 so don't have to worry about it. The majority of 1911s wont have the extra safety and never have a problem. Ill take simple every time
  24. No problem loosing those parts. I remove mine on a series II gun. Simply put a extra power FP spring in and your good to go
