  1. I'm a VZ dealer and I've been trying to get VZ to do a Tanfolgio Grip for over 3 years. I've heard the same story for 3 years. It's a numbers thing. Sucks from a shooters standpoint, but from their position, it's hard to justify. I just don't think they see enough of a market. They different grips for different frames isn't helping the cause.
  2. Call me ES.... I have been in touch with Adrian. After watching them used by a few shooters in my squad at Utah, I am convinced he has the bugs worked out. I will be carrying the MBX mags going forward.
  3. I just ordered a case of MG 121gr JFP based on more than a few recommendations. I have been running the 124gr MG JHP with ZERO issues.
  4. If it is going to get dry fired quite a bit, and will be subject to scratches, you might want to consider a weathered look. Here is a link to a thread I posted about a 2011 that I had fnished for 3Gun. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=210714&hl=
  5. I use red for everything now. Removal, if needed, is very easy if done properly. It just takes heat. I use a wood burning tool with a sharp point to heat up the screws when removal is needed.
  6. That is extremely short. I only took about about .016" off mine as that was all that was needed.
  7. Have you checked your ejector to make sure it is not too long? If the ejector is too long, the increased blow back from the hotter loads could cause timing issues, resulting in erratic ejection. I had a similar problem with one of my open guns and the problem was solved by filing down the ejector and tuning it. With the shorter ejector, the problem was solved.
  8. I'm pretty sure it's just mounted in a dovetail on the slide. The all mounts Deltapoint comes with that mount. No sir. Watch the video. That sight is frame mounted. Does not move with the slide. Also, that appears to be a CMore RTS2 not a Deltapoint.
  9. Someone has got to know what mount that is. Anyone? Buhler? Whatever it is, I would love to try one.
  10. I am curious about this as well. I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with an answer. Slackers!
  11. Milt Sparks is the way to go for IWB!
  12. http://www.shootingsportsinnovations.com/NITRO-FIN-2011-STI-SV-Slide-Lock-Thumb-Rest-POLISHED-NF17-4-POLISHED.htm The question belongs here just fine. They work well on Open Guns that require a lower thumb rest when using the 90 degree mounts. They also work well on Limited Guns. My wife uses this one on her limited gun. I think they are a great design.
  13. I saw one of these Grand Masters come through our stage at Area 1 and although I have never shot one, based on what I saw, I was impressed. I know nothing about the guy that was shooting the gun, but his Alpha hits were some of the best I saw during the entire match and the pistol seemed to have very little muzzle movement. From my perspective, it seemed to be a very accurate pistol that was easy to shoot.

    Sig P320

I decided to give the P320 another run at the range. I was pretty disappointed my first time out, based on all the positive reviews I had seen. Yesterday I went to the range to function test a variety of pistols and so I tossed the P320 into the mix and decided to give it another try. I am glad I did! Even though the gun appears to be more violent, when compared side by side with other pistols I am comfortable with, the results were similar to those of my Shadow Custom. I am beginning to see what people like about this pistol. When you factor in the cost, it is a real bargain. I plan on running it through it's paces a bit more, but at this point, I have done a complete 180 with respect to my feelings about this pistol.
  15. Speaking of fit.... I had a chance to run one of Ben Stoeger's Stock II pistols at one of his recent classes. I used his holster as well, and was shocked at how loose it fit. I would never have thought about walking around with a gun that loose. However, despite being very loose, the gun did not come out. Maybe if I did a couple barrel rolls I could have made it come out, but it wasn't going to come out under normal use. As a result, I actually loosened up the tension on my production rig. Makes for a much easier draw and it still feels safer than my Open rig.
  16. Steve was working and Shooting IronMan this past week. Your holsters are scheduled to be made tomorrow.
  17. I still have two left at $1,099. I'm quite surprised they are still here.
  18. They are starting to fill backorders. I had two delivered last week, which makes 3 total so far. I spread my orders out, ordering a couple of them each week for a while after SHOT. It's worked for me. So far, all guns have been Pre-Sold at MAP. All reports have been VERY positive. Looking forward to seeing some of the DVC Open Pistols that we ordered.
  19. Wyatt, I started at the top and it didn't take more than a couple calls to sell them. Please send me a PM to confirm your email. I have been getting them fairly regularly now, about every 3 months.
  20. Agreed! That was very helpful. I appreciate all the responses. I think I am going to try a 20 yard Zero to see how it works for me.
  21. I am curious to know the distance at which you guys zero your Open Pistols? I was speaking with a GM the other day and he told me his zero is set at 20 yards. I was surprised. I had always set mine much closer, but then again, what do I know? I just barely hit B class.

To be fair, the sample I shot was 100% stock, so different springs might help. I used the word jumpy, but I like your description better. It was more violent than I expected. Also, the lack of accuracy is what surprised me as much as anything. Based on reports, I expected much better.
  23. I put the CGW Disco in. It required a little fitting, but nothing major. Not enough to break out the Dremel, so I guess I really can't call it "tuned". Sorry Moto.

Going against the grain here, but.... I finally had a chance to shoot a Full Size P320 in 9mm tonight. I was pretty excited to try it, given all the hype I have been hearing. I was most definitely NOT impressed. I was just shooting standard factory ammo, but I found the pistol to be very jumpy. I really expected it to see less vertical movement and was very disappointed in the accuracy as well. It may just be that I got to shoot a poor sample, but I will stick with my SP-01 for production. I really wanted to like this pistol. I did. Especially for the price. I'm sure it's a great gun, and the trigger is the best I've seen on a Striker Fired Pistol, but it's most definitely not for me.
  25. I tuned my first CZ yesterday. It was a CZ85 Combat. Changed the Hammer, Sear, Firing Pin, Hammer Spring and Disconnect. Turned out great and although it was tedious, it was easier than expected. I read KneelingAtlas' Tuning 101 thread and spent some time on the phone with the guys at CGW before starting the project. Both were very helpful!
