  1. I have been watching this thread with strong interest. As a shooter that is just starting to play the Open Game, I would like to officially add myself to the list of those that would purchase one. At this point, all I can say is "why are you wasting time reading my post?" Get back to work!
  2. If anyone knows where I can find one, I'd appreciate it. I prefer a Large Frame, but will settle for a Small Frame 9mm Stock II if that is all I can find. Thanks!
  3. This one is an IFG model, not the EAA version. I didn't realize there was a difference.
  4. I do not believe you went to a 3 gun match.. You gotta stick around long enough to watch the winners bracket!
  5. Thanks for the reply. My original plan was to convert the DA Stock II into a SA and run it as a Limited in .40SW. I shoot the 9mm Limited Custom in Steel Challenge and, believe it or not, I have been using it in my 3 Gun matches. I love it. I just wanted to duplicate the feel as much as possible, while bumping up to .40SW. I have been looking for a Limited Custom in .40SW and couldn't find one, so I thought converting the Stock II over to a SA would be basically the same thing. I had no idea they came in the small frame. I think I will probably sell it and hold out for a Limited Custom.
  6. Am I going to notice any real difference in shooting it between this one and my Limited Custom, which is a large frame?
  7. I recently purchased a Stock II in .40 because I couldn't find a Limited Custom in .40. My plan was to install a Single Stage Trigger and use it for Limited Class. The only problem is that it is a Small Frame and I was expecting a Large Frame. Needless to say I was disappointed. Looking to either sell the Small Frame or find a reason to keep it. Anyone shoot both Large and Small frame? If so, tell me why I should keep it.
  8. I just purchased a new Limted Pro in .45ACP. I plan on getting a 9mm slide and shooting the gun in IDPA in both CDP and ESP. I am going to change the trigger from double action to single action. Does anyone have a factory Single Stage trigger that they are willing to sell? I figure there has to be someone here that has switched to the Henning trigger that has a factory trigger that is going unused at the moment. Anyone?
  9. Just found a thread about milling the new Match. Too new to post a link. I tried and got my hand slapped.
  10. Fusion Firearms makes one for the 1911 that uses the rail. They looked pretty sturdy. Here is the link: http://www.fusionfirearms.com/servlet/the-Scope-Mounts/Categories
  11. I have been considering another option for running a Tanfolgio in IDPA. A quick search and I discovered that the new Match with longer frame and tactical rail is too heavy for CDP, but still (barley) light enough for ESP. Has anyone modified the new Match frame to drop enough weight to run in CDP? I don't know if going to Henning's grips will save any weight over stock, but even if they did, I don't think I could drop the 2+ ounces needed to make weight. Has anyone milled the rail off or cut the frame length? I'd love to hear about it or see pics if any such thing has been done.
  12. Hey guys, new to the forum. I purchased a 9mm Limited Custom earlier this year and to say that I have the Tanfoglio bug is an understatement. I picked up a Witness yesterday in .38 Super for a pretty good deal. I wanted it because it has the older style slide with flat top. Anyway, I was just wondering how difficult it would be to convert it over to a 9mm. I'd like to run it in IDPA. It is as simple as a barrel swap?
