  1. Well, my application is in Brad's backpack so I hope I'm set for the match!! And I'm actually getting to were I can somewhat hit what I aim at now with a revolver so maybe I won't end up on TV again as an example of when things go wrong on the polish plate rack.
  2. Yes. You can get a kit that consists of the grip, grip removal tool, hammer strut and decocting lever to convert a p226 to tue E2 grip.
  3. The lack of capacity in limited is an issue. 18 is the most I have seen anyone run reliably. But for open, capacity isn't a problem. I have assembled mags that measure 169.8mm long that run reliably with 29rnds. With a different follower I have been able to get 30 but have had issues with occasional nosedives. I am going to make another basepad to run my mags out to max legal length and see if I can get 30rnds to run reliably.
  4. Here is a little better picture of the magwell on my X5 Tactical.
  5. I was a RO on stage 8 and my Peltors disappeared off the stage on Sunday.
  6. So at least I'm not the only one that lost a pair of Peltor 6s at the match. I feel a bit better now.
  7. Here are a couple quick low quality snapshots of a more refined version. In these pics it is mounted on a X5 Allround because that is the only X5 I had handy at that moment.
  8. He has one of the plastic prototypes on one of his guns. But I doubt you saw him using it. The 3D printed prototypes are good for mocking things up but I don't think it would be durable enough to stand up to much use. The X5 Max shoots in limited I believe has a heavily modified Dawson magwell grafted onto it.
  9. This a 3D printed prototype (plastic) of a later version.
  10. This is a rendering of the first version for use with the factory X5 basepads. And this is a rendering of the one for use with Lt. Col Roger Sherman's basepads. I'll have a pic of one of the later prototypes mounted on a gun to post shortly.
  11. Using Roger Sherman's basepads the max I have been able to get in a legal length mag has been 18.
  12. Can't say about 38 Super but I have one in 9mm and I have had no problem running it up to 184PF in testing with only minor pressure signs using Autocomp and 130gr MG bullets. The load I am running is 6.7gr of Autocomp behind 130gr MG FMJ with Federal SP primers at 1.135" OAL. That combo nets a 170.1 average PF.
  13. I just used two M4 nuts and jammed them on the screws with 2 threads showing and hit them with a grinder.
  14. Yes the mounting screws are included. The screws that are included are a bit too long. I just installed one on my 9mm Gold Team and I had to take about 2 threads of the screws.
  15. What does it replace? Not that cap for the hole in the frame, you can leave that in and it still works. You are correct. Not sure what I was thinking there...
  16. The difference is that a new barrel is a replacement part. The RAM is not a replacement it is an addition, and therefor not covered explicitly. It does replace a part.
  17. Technically it does replace an existing part. It replaces that silly plug that normally fills that hole in the frame when you have a M&P not equipped with a mag disconnect or internal lock. Now the question is can you replace a minor internal part that serves no real purpose with one that does?
  18. I've got the stingray, looks like that's the closest it gets to the body. I've decided to go with my Talon Tactical because it's easily under the 2" mark and I don't have to worry. Scott I ran into the same issue with my DOH blade tech. It was measuring 2.25". At first I solved the problem by making my own DOH hanger from some kydex sheet. However when I tried a DAA belt instead of CRspeed I was able to go back to the Blade Tech DOH hanger because the DAA belt didn't twist as much under the weight of my X5 AR.
  19. I have a couple prototypes. But I was making them for my own use, however I might produce some to sell if there is enough interest.
  20. There is something I need!!! Some of these made into 170mm open mags!
  21. So has anyone come up with a workable/reliable 28+ round solution for the 9mm Gold Team???
  22. ORPCI in Lewisport, KY USPSA matches held the third Saturday of the month March through November. $15 for the first gun $8 for the second gun.

    P226 Frames

I am not sure on the date the beavertailed frame was introduced. The P226 Elites are in the 900 to 950 range right now. However if you want a beaver tailed P226 you can get one of the P226 USPSA editions here for 800.
  24. I have both and the GRx POS stays in the drawer. The reason the GRx stays in the drawer is that I have the first model GRx that does not have the carbide ring. They now have a new model GRx die that does have the carbide sizing ring so it might be fine.
  25. Well now.... I am suspicious about this too having looked at the extractor the tolerance for a case is extremely tight.... But I am unsure how to remove it from the slide to change the tension.... Can you describe the correct method? Do you have any failure to feeds if you cycle through an entire magazine by hand??
