Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. If you can't see the sear and the bar, how do you tune them so they are at the same angle?
  2. I have a Gold in 38 super. It has 4000 rounds thru it and it shoots good. However the pre travel on the trigger is to long for me. So.... I adjusted the pre travel to the minimum that I thought would reset the trigger. And it worked fine at my bench dry firing. Now I go to the range and the first shoot works fine. But when the gun cycles the trigger does not reset. I think I am running a #16 trigger spring. According to Henning that is a .016 w.d. (wire diameter) My questions to the more knowledgeable are... 1. Is the gun cycleing to fast for the trigger to reset because I shortened the pre travel? 2. Would a stronger trigger spring allow the gun to reset faster? 3. Is there another way to shorten the pre travel with out changing the trigger spring? 4. Any other suggestions? Thanks to all.
  3. I am trying to find a double stack nine/40 for my daughter who has SMALL hands. She would prefer a single action. Does anyone out there have any first hand knowledge of which pistol has the smallest grip? Thanks
  4. I have a Tanfo Gold in 38 Supercomp and I am considering changing it to 9 major due to the cost of brass. Since 9 mm brass is everywhere at my gun range. Can someone tell me what I need to change?
  5. A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction, if I have done that, then I apologise to the B. E. Forum.
  6. Has anybody had a problem with the target pasters from Shooters Connection? The pasters I received from them do not match my USPSA or IDPA targets. The pasters are lighter than the target?
  7. I researched all the mounts available on the net for a good month for my Gold. I finally decided my skills did not even come close enough to attempt a "build your own." I bought one from Henning. From the pictures you posted it looks like you are improving your fabricating skills. Who knows, you may design an improved model. Go for it!
  8. I think the trigger and the EGW parts are different hardness. And that combination would not make for a good trigger pull. Other shooters that know more than I will chime in soon and have a better technical answer than I did.
  9. If I were to buy the plated 9mm Xtreme 124's and using N105 what would be a good load for major in a Tanfo 38 supercomp Gold? I just noticed that somebody said the Xtreme's are .356. I am shooting .355, how is that going to effect my gun?
  10. Who shoots a Win 1300 defender pump w/open choke? (probably nobody) I am going to try this for 3 gun (my first time)and see how it compares to the autos. Anybody got any suggestions on shotshell size? Or maybe somebody has a 21" or 22" modified barrel they wany to sell c h e a p! Thanks
  11. Just how "EASY" is it to install a Dave's Metal Works "easyloader" in a Rem. 1100? Any suggestions would be very helpful. OR is it really necessary? Thanks,
  12. I ordered a new Extractor for my Gold from Henning. When it came I measured the little knob, and it was the correct heigth. It has been working perfectly for 3-4000 rounds. Good Luck
  13. Can someone chime in with the following measurements? 1. average diameter of the plates 2. distance between plates. (edge to edge) 3. average distance from the shooter 4. normal number of plates on a rack Thanks,
  14. I thought it might have something to do with the slide speed. Or I do not have a strong enough spring.
