  1. I made magwells for a while years ago. I think I might have a couple left. My competition version of the magwell was for use with Roger Sherman’s “mousetrap” basepads. I don’t know if it will work with the springer basepads or not.
  2. Hi. This is a question regarding a topic from 2014. If you remember, where did you get a Heine rear figure eight fiber optic sight? It's in the picture you posted. Thanks.

A friend put the hole for the FO in a standard Heine rear sight using a wire EDM.

Thanks for the answer. Did you crazy glue the FO in place?  I guessed a hole drilled from the back and a trough in the top. I'll ask a local prototype machinest if he can do it for me.

No I just put it through and hit with a mini torch in front of the lip.

Actually that comp works pretty good with "normal" powders used for minor. But it will get better with more gas to a point. Once you pass that point there will not be enough energy to cycle the slide. Reguardless of recoil spring weight.
  4. Port design makes a big difference. Here is my 3rd prototype major comp compared against a Carver 4 port major comp. Video was shot at 600fps. It is amazing how with the carver comp the recoil was so harsh it made my whole hand half numb for a bit. With my comp the recoil didn't feel any worse than shooting minor PF non-comp'd gun.
  5. Just an FYI I probably won't be doing any extra work with the open magazine for some time. I have too many other projects on my plate and since I can run 29+1 at so far 100% reliability the magazine isn't a high priority item.
  6. So far I haven't had any problem I've been running it with a Taylor freelance spring that is actually for a Glock limited magazine and I'm going to try Bolen spring as well
  7. The magazine body is from a SIG 25rnd open magazine. It is the same magazine tube as the 20rnd swat magazine just without the indentions to limit the capacity.
  8. This magazine is IPSC legal. Which means it is actually a touch over 1.5mm shorter than maximum USPSA legal length. And it runs 100% at 29 +1 using a SIG SCT follower witht he stop tabs cut down and will run 30 +1 with the CZ Custom follower.
  9. Cutting the stop tabs of the followers gives me and extra round of 9mm using roger Shermans mouse trap basepads (the ones Apex sells). Another option to add a bit more capacity is to use the CZ Custom 75 follower. http://czcustom.com/cz-custom-ts-and-75-follower.html
  10. I used to get my parts through a friend in Germany that shot open for SIG. He no longer shoots for SIG so that route has dried up for me. However, Heribert speaks English and you should be able to get in touch with him via email. Heribert's website Good luck with the gun.
  11. For minor I am running a 13lb variable Wolff. For major I am running a custom wound spring from Heribert Bettermann. It is around 10lbs I think.
  12. Yes. Off course when configured for the NRA action pistol match I am running minor.
  13. My rendition of a X5 open. I designed the comp and magwell. The optic mount is from Heirbert Betterman. The comp in the picture is actually the minor version of my comp that I use for NRA action pistol. As seen below
  14. Personally I don't expect to see a target model available until SHOT 2017
