  1. The typical, almost weekly, thread about getting rid of classifications.
  2. I’ll test it. I haven’t cut any coils off. I like the gun. Mags aren’t dropping free like I want them to. Probably will take some sandpaper to the inside of the grip.
  3. Thanks. Where can I get one?
  4. What does the split ring do?
  5. Update for anyone interested. I installed the gen 4 tungsten guide rod with a 13# ismi spring. I also installed a Glock gen 4 stock striker spring. Lock up is good. Slide stays in battery. Ignition was 100%. Every round chambered. I think you gotta shoot 124 gr though. Got a couple failure to ejects with 147’s. Gun is also new so maybe after som time it’ll break in a little better. I’m just gonna go with 124’s since bullet weight is irrelevant as long as the gun shoots accurately. trigger pull is currently just under 4#. It’s pretty crisp and reset is positive and very short. I’m not changing the trigger return spring. I will try a Glock reduced power striker and a striker block springs. I also ordered a freedomsmith pro trigger. I really like this gun.
  6. 1. Is the recoil spring and striker spring the same in the TP9 and the Walthers? 2. Would a TTI reduced striker spring work until he TP9? 3. would a gen 4 tungsten guide rod with an 13# ISMI spring work in the TP9? It’s what I have. I’ll order other springs and parts but wanting to do a little testing with what I’ve got at the moment if it’ll work. thanks
  7. Some folks want to get the score they deserve/shot! He knows that he hit it and that if it wouldn't have counted he wouldn't have really shot that score. That's how it supposed to be done.
  8. Shoot all 115 gr. Doesn't matter. I just saved you a bunch of money. You're welcome.
  9. I have been noticing that my main 34 has been losing some accuracy. My back up has not. Looking at the crowns, the problem 34 has quite a bit more build up. Hmmmm....
  10. Don’t you know people want to be told what to do in a gun forum? Who wants to figure it out for themselves?!
  11. No. What would be amazing is if all red dots used the same pattern!
  12. I agree 6th overall is better than 3rd M. One of the joys of discussion over text media is we’re probably not that far off on what we’re actually saying and in some cases might be arguing the same points. I suck at communicating in person so over the internet in a gun forum it’s all but impossible. In a final attempt to get my points across I’ll list them as simply as I possibly can. Sandbagging is lame grand bagging is too! class wins are important at/below A(generally) for a method to gauge improvement or reward for effort. My opinion I want shoot to my abilities and get better. Doing that, the results will take care of themselves. I don’t want to knock anyone trying to get better. some like wining their class and they’re not wrong because you think so. Of course there’s certain things that may make those more or less important. Can’t communicate them all in this type of environment.
  13. It seems that people that are having a hard time winning their class are more in the “percentage of HOA is what matters” crowd. It’s like it an ego protection thing. Being 20th B class is hard to look at but 80th over all doesn’t sting as much I guess? Saying that, I want to win HOA but at most matches I feel I’m in the running to do that. So,...that’s a little different. As for the class win aspect, I think it’s a good thing for someone to get a class win when we’re talking about A class and below. Might actually see some improvement when you focus on performing to your class/skill level. I mean 30th place in X class at a major might mean someone isn’t really that class level. Dunno? M/GM’s should focus on HOA. That’s just my opinion and I try not to tell folks who win B class, that they’re dumb for being excited about that. Again,... just my opinion.
  14. I’ve been wondering why the folks who are “class win is lame” take that point of view. a quick look at the results have made it clear.
  15. How much weight are you wanting to add?
  16. Or a backup gun and two extra dots.
  17. I really feel if you're gonna shoot seriously you need 4 dots. So, the extra $$$ for the SRO is just gonna be that much more money you'll have tied up. I'd like to think the SRO is the solution but not convinced yet.
  18. I honestly wonder how some of these stages(problems) make it into matches? We all know that everything looks good on paper until it gets rolled out. By that time it's too late. I get that and feel stuff like that is going to happen from time to time. Regardless of the sport. But the hand tied stage, the stage where it was better to take the huge FTR penalty, the shirts on target. Again, not specific to IDPA. USPSA has these types of issues too. My guess, stage designers/MD are trying to be creative and it goes wrong. IMO, it's not a bad idea to just stick with challenging and not try to go to unique.
  19. Save up an buy the 1050. The 650’s priming, case feeding, and lack of swagging makes me hate it bad! Though, no press is perfect! Good thing about Dillon is their CS is 100%! I will eventually sell my 650 and get another 1050.
  20. I would bet that max will be doing the class again for this years OK sec. you can contact the OK sec coordinator. I think he posted the class on here so you can find that thread and PM him. eta: here’s the link for last years class. Contact Cary. He’ll get you lined out for next year.
  21. CO guns have to be on the approved production gun list. I doubt the 24 is. Also, not sure if you can change calibers.
