Did you check the carrier key is still tight to the top of the BCG? Every now and then the screws don't get staked and work their way loose.

They actually changed it in two spots. I'm not sure how they managed to realize it was in more than one spot but forgot to look everywhere else. The other spot is the Remington side match listing.

Yes and No, until a few years ago Limited still had production run requirements so experimenting with things like this would put you in Open so the experimentation period for iron sight guns is kind of starting over again where it stopped when red dots changed the game. Seems like plenty use the 6" gun which is illegal in IPSC Standard so it doesn't seem like that many really care.

Just post them on the USPSA Forum. No one in the org except Bruce goes there anyway. And you know those Area 1 directors are a bunch of troublemakers anyway.

I believe, it's been awhile since I've taken the class, they teach in the RO class to score first. Then deal with questions or concerns.

The stages are so different from last year I don't know that basing anything off last year is really accurate anyway. There's plenty of talent in each group, and some solid potential spoilers in each group. As Ziebart showed in the last match.

I use MGM targets. I practice three gun and USPSA way more than I practice SC. But I use the SC plates for that. I've got a bunch of the 10" plates I use for rifle and pistol practice. It's nice to have plates that hold up to anything I hit them with.

Scoring at the end of the COF will save a lot of headaches. I've seen more shooters get reshoots because someone didn't score the stage than from the popper going down. If you do everything consistently it's easier to avoid mistakes. Off the top of my head I can't think of a situation where scoring at the end of a COF is going to be a bad call.

My wife told me much more than 5" is just wasted length anyway.

Several of last years Pros who earned a spot decided not to return for various reasons. Not sure why Joel didn't come back but Sweeney has the best excuse. Finished last year, including a really impressive performance at the World Shoot, with a busted hand. He had to get it fixed and let it heal this year. I'm just too big of a wuss to come back.

That's an easy one to answer. The heavier weight is correct. Here's how I know. In 2006 or 2007, not long after the weight list came out I was at the Nats in Tulsa and had my SP-01 weighed at chrono. I was the first shooter to have an SP-01 weighed there and was bumped to open. The only mod to the gun was the thin aluminum grips. I was not pleased and made that known to Amidon. He said CZ had not provided him the correct weight after several tries so he used what was on the website. We went over to the CZ vendor table, grabbed a stock CZ SP-01, weighed it at the chrono table and the figure you see on the list is the weight of that particular gun. My guess is the website weight is without magazine. That's one of the big problems with the weights listed. Trying to get accurate weights from manufacturers is very difficult. Most don't care about USPSA. Certainly not enough verify weights and fill out our silly forms.

Who is the actual seller on these? I'd be curious what the shipping label actually says. I know there is at least one other store on Amazon with a manufacturers name, that is not the manufacturer. And the products they are selling are not legit.

20 rounds LR is about par for the course at most 3 Gun matches. Much more than that and the LR portions dominates the event. And takes forever. We all can't shoot the LR portion as well as Kurt can. Besides, I'm going to go through lots of long range shots. 20 required, multiplied by my crappy aim, add in poor trigger control, and... That's over 100 long range shots!

I picked Relay 5 for the same reason. Last time I shot in Pasa the weather was miserably hot and muggy. Hoping the extra day will be a bit easier.

Remington did a side match last year. Half dozen poppers with birdshot. Two strings, two boxes. Shoot six then start again from the other box.

There's only so many ways to make a guide rod. It's a pretty basic design. They were both developed separately about the same time.

Just to make sure there isn't confusion. The GGI and Springer guide rods are sized to utilize 1911 recoil springs. Pretty much any 1911 spring will work, pick your favorite. I've used ISMI and Wolff for years. When you put the spring in, it may be too long. Remember the spring was not meant for a Sig, but is being used in one. You may (probably) will have to cut the spring shorter. There's lots of info on here about making sure the spring fits in 1911's. A lot of times they need to be cut even with 1911's. If the spring isn't cut the coils stack up and that's what stops the rearward travel. Not the mechanical means the gun was designed to use. You can also cause malfunctions if the slide doesn't have a full range of motion. Short version is assemble the gun without the spring in place. Pull the slide all the way back and mark how far it goes back. I just use a pencil for this and put a small mark on the slide in line with something on the frame. Next assemble with the spring and pull the slide back. If the mark lines up great. If not, cut a coil off the front of the spring. Keep trying until it lines up again.
