  1. I ahve heard that the 223 plate is best. I currently load with the 38 super palte and have no issues as long as I pay attention. I sure would be faster for me with the 223 palte however
  2. No matter what.... It is a funny prank
  3. +1 When I was shooting my glock in Limited, I thought I could change it and make it better. All I ended up doing "even with the help of some smiths" was just adding unreliability to the gun. Springs, guide rods, magazine fiddling and so on. I got to the point that I just put it back to stock and then it ran 100%. The grip tape was the best mod I found for it IMO... I did shave the grip some to fit my hand better and I do love that, in hind sight though. I might not have even done that because it prevented me from shooting production with the gun. I would have liked to still have that option open. Hope that is of some help to you. Hope that is some of what you might have been looking for.
  4. First off...... WELCOME TO THE FORUM I started with a glock and really did love it. But if I had the means to get a hold of my S_I sooner I would have. Looking back now, I would have found a way to get into this platform from the start! IMO it is the best platform made.... "for me anyway" If you do go that route you would NOT be sorry!! Good shooting to you and a great Holiday season Todd
  5. Here is a better suited picture of one of my kids. From his younger years He is a ton of fun
  6. Mine has very little drag. But yet still has some. I used a buddies once that had noe. I did not like that, I think that just running would have unlocked his. Mine has enough that you have to move it manualy but yet would not move from just motion. Hope that helps.

    That is a good one
  8. I have not had many problems with it that the smarter person would not..... I have not locked it before, at the range practicing and had a friend bump it out of the holster and then it was full of sand. The only hold back for me has been on starts laying down and drawing to a very close target that has no cover. I could get on it a lot faster if I was unlocked or in just a blade tech than with this dude. But all in all it has been good. IMO for the money though, I would have had a speed sec. Just my .02

  10. +.02 here! What I highlighted in red is some of the best advise that I would have liked to listen to when I started just a few years ago. I have bought several race holsters.... and I mean several some I really liked, but when it came down to the full picture, I think that they do not suite that game as well. So now I have come full circle back to the Blade tech. It really is just the better set up.... IMO. Good luck
  11. I would not be supprised. We are at 1.43 here, and at this rate 1.00 is not far off.
  12. I am not the most experienced guy on the block. But getting the chance to shoot with guys like Ron Avery and Glenn Higdon often have shown me that what they have to say, is worth listening too!!!! These guys are good! Even if I cannot do it.....
  13. There you went and did it... Besides, you should be doing the chrono anyway How are you doing Sean?
  14. I know. Losing the Olympics is not going to be easy...
  15. You may have tried this already. But if you are getting tense going faster mentally. Just try to get to the gun fast and let the rest come as trained. It was eye opening to me how slow I was off the buzzer. Even though I thought I was fast. I had the same thing going on and still do from time to time. But if I just try to react fast and shoot control, I am faster. The second that I try too hard is when I clutch the gun. Just my .02
  16. First off WELCOME As a far as a gun for CCW, as some one that has carried for some time now. (and this is just my opinion) I would never carry a 5" er.... I would carry something much smaller. 1- If a 5 is what you want, then on a budget I might look at the S_I Trojan? Just a thought 2- This is souly your choice. USPSA all the way for me 3- You are in the right place for this subject. The search sould provide you with an abudance of info for dominace. I ahve not had to look it up. 4- I dont have much for you here either... Sorry 5- USPSA.ORG will have links to clubs in your area. 6- Brians book is a great start. I would also get Mr. Andersons books too. Found on Brians sight. Great drills that can be done in you dorm room. No ammo!!!! DRY FIRE is good for the soul Best of luck to you and questions hear render answers that you can learn form.

I never got back you Homie on the book. A GREAT READ INDEED. Boy summer has been busy at work. Construction for ya. But feel like I am getting some where now a day's. State is comming up this weekend. Looking forward to it! Saturday's match... - Good plan for a tune up. Shot slower and much more accuratly (when I aimed hard) the 2 times I slacked off it bit me in the but. Learn form this, as you should have always done before - Shoot your match.... Not the match that others are shooting. Recognise your ability and not that of others that might be beyond you.... Sunday live fire... - Worked a transitiondrill hard. Felt good watching the sights hard throught out the drill. Not giviing up or getting lazy. - Bill drills now down to 1.8's down 1. Boy I want to be able to apply this to a match. Practice is a fair amount better thatn match day. But I really do not feel nervs on match day??? More rounds down range buddy. - Long range box to box. Very good for me today. 30 yrds. 2 shots run 15 yards hard 2 shots. Time 6 sec. no points down. Good job Todd. Mag changes in live fire finally down to 1.2's. As long as I see the well, I am good. I need to maintain this and not take it for granted. Thanks again Homie for the lead on that book.
  19. In most cases you wont win a match in one stage.... But boy can you loose one... A wise man told me that if I am going to dig my self a hole. Try to use a spoon. That way I have a chance to fill the hole back in. If I used a backhoe... then the spoon will never fill in that hole in time to recover. Consistancy rules suppreme.
