  1. took HOA with my Springfield 45 tonight at a local IDPA match. Whipped up on the fat guns. http://ctidpa.com/index.php?option=com_doc...5&Itemid=63
  2. That's the one I'm using on my Springfield 9mm single stack. It works great and I love the sight picture.
  3. It'l be a reinactment of Skylab
  4. I usually have to make adjustments to account for shoot throughs, berm hieght, etc. I don't take it personally. What I put on paper just doesn't always jive with the range conditions.
  5. I wish I could just beam over there and shoot with you guys. I'd be glad to put $10 into the pot. There's only a couple of regular SS shooters around here. They keeping crossing over to the dark side (open).
  6. That's one beautiful blaster!
  7. There's a little intro video on the http://cz-usa.com/ homepage that's gave me a chuckle. Takes a poke at "old school" rifle people.
  8. Commissioner Gordon has a Bat Phone, I have a Brownell's Phone. I get everything from them, including revolver speed loader loading blocks.
  9. Awesome! side note: If you mention new blaster, you're required to include pics of it.
  10. True. Oh, so true. Maybe one day I'll get him I'm sure you will.
  11. Ok, that's not a fair comparison because Steve kicks everyones ass.
  12. 12 seconds worth of penalties probably didn't have any effect on your overall placement as I'm sure you were at least 30 seconds ahead of the field anyway.
  13. Ah, yes, but in IDPA, it's also a penalty to drop an EMPTY mag from the gun when there's still a round from that mag in the chamber. The only way to avoid the penalty is to rack the slide after inserting the fresh mag, thereby ejecting the last unfired round from the previous magazine. If the shooter does not rack the slide and instead, fires that round. + 3 seconds.

    Which one?

painful can be fun, too. (for the rest of us) SVI magwell or Techwell on Singlestack?
  15. Don't sweat it. I get dinged pretty regularly for reloading in the open or dropping a mag with ammo in it. It's just trigger time and it's fun anyway. I'm getting to the point now that if the gun goes to slide lock, my first thought is that it's a malfunction.
  16. I have owned/used a PILE of product from both Blade-tech and Comp-tac. As already stated several times above, Comp-tac service is unbeatable. As for quality, it's coin toss. I feel like Comp-tac's mag pouches are quite a bit better than Blade-tech's but in the holster department, there's really no advantage of one over the other imho. The Blade-tech holsters can be a little more versatile, if you go with one that will accept multiple attachment configurations (SRB, DOH, tech-loc etc). But the Comp-tac product seems to utilize slightly better quality materials. It all boils down to what is most important to you and what best suits your personal needs. As I type this, I'm wearing a Blade-tech holster and a Comp-tac mag pouch. You don't have to commit to just one brand.
  17. True, but this right does not give him the right to carry concealed without a permit.. I would question his lack of intelligence based on his method of carry, and thinking he could get by security. Are these the type of people we want to support and encourage to carry concealed no matter what? The falls in line with my way of thinking as well.
  18. Anyone that chooses to carry a Glock (with a round chambered) in their waistband without a holster is an accident waiting to happen. The fact that he was carrying illegally and in a club no less, speaks volumes about his level of intelligence, or lack of.
  19. Money and fame does not = brains. Can you say Mike Tyson?
