Anyone here planning to shoot SS in Waco this Saturday? Thee's a slight chance of rain but it's supposed to be 73 degrees. Could be a nice day to shoot. (Paul, you better be shooting this match).

I agree with your observation 38superman, but I am not just talking about USPSA, I was referring to action pistol competition in general. Uspsa, Idpa, Idsa, etc.

One thing I've noticed is that on the local match level at least, when new shooters see 1911's winning, that's what they buy. If they see plastics winning every match, they go that way. We need to make sure that we make the RIGHT impression on the minds of new shooters. Nice guy with 1911 wins vs, nice guy with plastic. Know what I mean?

when I was 13, I got a Raleigh 10 speed for Christmas. It was a deep red and had a lot of chrome on it. I rode that thing all over Fort Bend County for about a year, then got a motorcycle and the bike was history.

But you missed the best Dallas game is ages. Seriously, I don't know where you found the energy to shoot another match Sunday evening. Must be youth. But wait. Last weekend I set up, ran, and shot two, then shot a third on Sunday, but that was three in three days, not two. Yeah, I was pretty tired and my feet were killing me after we shot yesterday morning's match but a fist full of alieve and a couple of red bulls later and I was good as new.

I shot SS in 3 matches this weekend alone. How's that for dedication?

I keep a stack of loaded Pmags with my house rifle (Bushy M4gery) and have run several cycles through each without a single malfunction. For competition, I've been using the same USGI (Okay Ind) gray 30 rounders with stock springs and gray Magpul followers for over a year and they're all 100%. Dropped in the dirt, stepped on, dropped on concrete partially loaded, kicked into the sand etc. Still going strong.

Thanks guys. It was fun, especially when another shooter told me that select fire guns weren't allowed.

I forgot to get retested. Must be memory loss from the lead exposure. tomorrow I'll make an appt for a test. That is, if I don't forget again.
