I have been using a Winchester SX2 ( FN SLP ) for a few years now. This gun has been very reliable. I have the light piston in it, but I still need to shoot hotter loads ( rem nitro 27's ) when it is fully loaded and the side saddle is loaded. If not, it will short stroke. My question is, has anyone put a shorter/lighter recoil spring in it to enable it to shoot the lighter loads reliably ? I have an extra spring that I am thinking of cutting down to see how it will work. As long as I run the hotter loads, it is very reliable, but it would be nice to not have to use those loads. Any ideas ? Thanks
