I am planning to purchase the SW Model 25 Classic version which according to specs is designed for 45 long colt. Can it be moonclipped and loaded with 45acp? I intend to use it in IPSC matches. I think the 6.5in barrel which has a half lug has the ideal weight and sight radius for action type shooting...

What is the difference between 45 long colt and 45 acp? Can they be fired in the same gun? What are bullet specs i.e. shell length and allowable head weight? Is there anyone using long colt in ipsc, icore etc.? Are they both designed for moonclip? Any info is welcome...

I'm new in revolver shooting and I just got a 686 which I would like to convert to 38 super, what I would like to know is what chamber size can the chambers be reamed. I only have access to our local gunsmith with limited knowledge in revolvers. Any useful info is welcome ... thanks
