  1. Personally, I wouldn't buy a new holster and pouches for your Glock if you plan on switching to a Shadow. If you want to wait on getting the Shadow, that makes sense but I would recommend using what you had for IDPA until you're ready to make the switch. no reason to have a bunch of extra gear. I shot my first year of USPSA with extra mags in my back pocket and a cheap holster. As far as which Shadow to get, I'd definitely go for the Optic Ready, the plate system works well as long as you get the right steel plates from CZ, and you can use the iron sights until you decide which dot you want to get.
  2. you're right. this is weird, retailers have them listed on their sites in .40 but dan wesson is only showing 9mm https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.impactguns.com/amp/handguns/dan-wesson-dwx-40-s-w-5-barrel-fiber-optic-front-adj-rear-red-trigger-grips-black-15rd-806703920023-92002
  3. I would recommend plugs and muffs, only plugs will eventually lead to hearing damage, ask me how I know
  4. I bought mine after my belt literally fell off in the middle of a 3 gun stage, to much weight. thankfully my pistol was already in a dump box so I didn't get DQ'd
  5. how so? they're offering one in .40?
  6. I shoot 3 gun whenever i can, i love the shotgun portion of it. but our local 3 gun matches are all dying. The tactical world has all but abandoned the shotgun as a viable tool. barrier to entry lies solely on the shotgun expenditures. I believe the future is 2 gun
  7. it's so smooth you can get it down with minimal dry fire, I always shoot at the closest target first
  8. standard Shadow 2 mags with henning base pads and grams guts 23+1
  9. go to cajun gun works and get the tuner pack, try them all until you find one that ejects the brass to the right spot
  10. you need a new top end unfortunately, hard to come by

    Moving to CZ?

the S2 DA trigger is so smooth you'll barely even notice it with a little practice. I would get the S2 optic ready if you can get one or send a shadow 2 off to get milled (CZ Custom) the triggers and recoil impulse on the striker fired guns kind of suck (more practice to get proficient) I'd say you're on the right track
  12. TS is definitely bigger around, I wear size large gloves and have lok palm swells on both. both fit me fine, slide release is getting a little far away on the TS. I would try and find one to look at. like others have said, with the selection of different grips you'll probably be fine either way
  13. steel plate for sure, ruined an aluminum in a couple hundred rounds
  14. mecgar makes cz's mags (and almost everyone else's) they work great
  15. looks to be in decent shape, mecgar mags should work fine in 9 or 40, the trigger on the 75 has nothing on the shadow though. looks like a good deal. I would save up for a shadow in my experience
  16. I prefer 124 for faster follow ups, get the cajun gun works tuner spring pack and see what works best.
  17. I would take the optic off and reinstall it to see if it was torqued down unevenly, that could cause your issue
  18. I filed my frame a little, there was a sharp edge near the bottom where it meets the mag well that was catching on the mags and not letting them drop free
  19. get grams followers and it won't lock back anymore, problem solved, no permanent modifications to the gun.
