RIIID
The local classic rock station last Saturday started their Christmas format 24/7 Christmas music. It's the only FM station my radio picks up clear, so now I'm going to have to listen to AM talk radio. But I think I'm going to listen to the silence of the shop instead until Christmas. I sent them an e-mail with my displeasure of a month of Christmas music, their response was they are getting positive feed back with this format with little negative feed back. I don't mind a little Christmas music a few days before but a f*#king month worth of it, Hell no. Rich

RIIID
I hate high tech electronics(that's another hate topic that has been brewing for years), my radio has a cd and cassette player built in I don't want to have to change all day long. My computer is where it is supposed to be in my office far from the shop. I like to here some news during the day along with the music I want to hear. Playing/advertising a week or two before Christmas is long enough, October-November Christmas selling is way too much. As long as the voices in my head will talk to me, most of the time they won't, I'll be fine until the 26th of December. Rich
lynn jones
i thought you were going to talk about how bad "classic rock" sux. i like the alternative stations. when the only station here in memphis went espn talk, i bought an ipod touch. lynn

Chris Keen
When I 1st got an HD radio, I thought it would be similar to satellite radio ....... boy was I wrong. They have as many commercials as regular radio, and the DJ's are worse.
Intel6
In my shot when reloading I use a boom box with my Zune (think Microsoft I pod) loaded with almost 60 gig of music and listen to what I want to listen to. Most modern boom boxes have an input just to plug in your player. Neal in AZ
SiG Lady
Our local TV stations began Xmas commercial advertising about three days before Hallowe'en. I was appalled.
scirocco38s
I agree, I quit listening to all fm radio 3 or 4 years ago and started listening to xm. If I do listen to normal radio it is am talk. I would either get a cheap xm/sirius tuner and run it into a boombox or an ipos with20or 30 of your favorite albums/ cds and put it into shuffle mode and never look back. FranDoc
Local TV had both pre-election political ads and Christmas ads on consecutively for a week or two before the November elections. Tuned into my usual jazz station on Friday only to hear "WNWV ... your holiday station". AAARRRRGHHH! Seems that there is exactly one station playing what I like to listen to. [in perspective, if that's the worst thing that happens this week, then we're all OK on this corner of the range ....]

Team Amish 1
Worst part is, all FM stations seem to have 15-20 songs they play in a random loop. Gets boring after just one day. Now where are those old mix tapes when I need them???

Obama being a socialist/marxist 2. illegal immigration being the number one problem in national security 3. global warming is a scam, and man has no effect what so ever on global temperatures it's nice and consistent....who cares if it's true or false....the callers crack me up enjoy!!! Neomet
+1 for Pandora. I just put in Rolling Stones and I get all kinds of the best music I have heard in years. On my Droid at least the cool thing is you can also flag the songs you don't like so they won't come up again. I'm plugged into this for hours at the cube farm. Can't beat it.
