GLOCKENNBOOMER
Hello all. First post here. Looking for design ideas for a primer tube rack of some sorts. I was thinking about doing that or just using PVC. Running a Dillon 550.
Sarge
I thought of attaching velcro to the wall beside the loader then just sandwiching the tubes in and pulling loose for a new tube. I settled for now on a cut off water bottle screwed to the bench beside the loader. It works if you don't try to yank one out as fast as you can. I read somewhere that one guy just lays them down under the strong mount but thought that was not a good idea because the primers might turn or roll inside the tube. Thought I read that here too. I am keeping my eyes open for something like a fishing rod holder of sorts. You know, the kind with rubber slots that could be screwed to the wall or bench. Let me know what you come up with as I am always looking for a better mouse trap.
XD Niner
I just screwed to bottom of an empty tennis ball container to a bock of wood to act as a base. It holds the primer tubes perfectly. I just turn the used ones bottom up so it is easy to tell which are loaded.
NoSteel
I have peg board behind mine so I use screw driver holders which work great, just leave the clip in and slide thru the hoop!!!!

Flatland Shooter
I'm not so high tech. Two coffee cans. One for the filled tubes, one for the empty tubes. Bill
ChuckS
Did you ever get a gift from an art major? I had this one for years. Then the light finally went on: Later, Chuck
boz1911
I use two capped pieces of PVC pipe attached to my case feeder. One for full tubes, one for empties.
High Lord Gomer
I put them all in the same container, I just put the empty ones upside down.
kevin c
...I read somewhere that one guy just lays them down under the strong mount but thought that was not a good idea because the primers might turn or roll inside the tube. Thought I read that here too... I think the tolerances in the pick up tubes keep the primers from turning around inside. I store empty tubes in an old 5K primer sleeve. I generally load tubes right before a session and just lay them out next to the press (haven't had an upside down primer except for hiccups from the primer feed). On occasion, left over loaded tubes go into another sleeve and into secure storage away from the kids until the next loading session.
h2osport
Just leave mine laying inside the left strongmount since I grab them with my left hand to empty them into the feeder. Then they go under the case bin and bracket until I run out of tubes. Works for me
Rocket35
Here is what I setup when I built the new bench. I just used some to the spare materials to make the primer tube stand and the powder scale shelf.

RePete
It seems to me that a test tube rack from a lab would be the perfect solution. http://www.testtubesonline.com/SearchResul...CFQJ2xgodlV9E8g https://www.sciencelab.com/page/S/PVAR/10607/10-2204
