Love the Titegroup in my .40

4.3 grains

180 plated

1.180 oal

Unfortunately, I don't have a chrono but I'm 'hoping to get one soon.

Unless you have a fast bbl, I think you'll have to bump up to at least 4.5 to make major

I load 4.6 TG under a 180 gr Extreme HP at 1.175 OAL. 170 PF. I tried 4.5 and it went down to a 164 PF which seems like a lot for a tenth of a gr. 2011 Briley barrel.

I love threads like this...

I use titegroup now and have no problems with it in both 9MM and 40s/w

but I'm running out of titegroup and have 1 lb of n320 and 2 lbs of solo 1000.

the funny part is I can find threads with tons people just as stoked about both powders for either caliber...

i guess if everyone loves all of the powders i have it can't be bad.

I like N320 for 9mm, or .40, with 165 grain bullets, but, I prefer Titegroup for 180 grain bullets, in .40.

I've never tried Solo 1000 because I read it is temperature sensitive, which is why I'm not using Clays anymore for .45.

I've had great luck with TiteGroup for 9MM, .40 and .45. I enjoy experimenting with different powders. I've used TiteGroup, WST, Universal Clays, HS6, Unique, 231, H110, H38, 700X,. etc., etc., ect. I like them all, even the American Select.

I have had good luck with Titegroup in .38 spcl, 9 mm, & 45. Currently using 3.2gr Titegroup in my wife's Glock 19 which chronographs at 993.8 fps. Forgot to point out that is a 124gr LRN bullet from S&S.

I've had all right results with 3.0 grains of Titegroup and a 147gn lead flat point at 1.14" OAL out of my 5" M&P. It makes minor without any pressure concerns, but a lot of smoke. Obviously you won't have that problem with plated. I'll probably use it for steel challenge loads once I get tooled up for .38 Short Colt.

I just recently obtained a M627 PC and am testing .38 Short Colt.

Best testing so far:

3.3 grains of Tite Group

142 gr Montana Gold JHP
