Henning/Canyon Creek custom open Tanfo

Neomet

Recommended Posts

Got the new uber-blaster from Henning and Rich. Wow!!!!! I only had time to run to the range for about 20 min to put a couple of rounds downrange. Still need to zero the C-more and work a load up for it, but Wow!! It has a custom Ti 4 port comp from Rich, no ports in the barrel, very lightened slide, Hennings latest hammer/sear from EGW, EGW slide stop, Henning's new aluminum griips, Barry mount for the C-more, etc, etc..... Wow. The fit and finish are amazing and the gun feels great in my hands with very low recoil. Can't wait to see how it shoots once I get the ammo dialed in.

I gotta thank Henning and Rich for a great pistol and putting up with my avalanche of questions. I also have to thank Ms. Neomet who agreed to go ahead with this project when we were still in St. Louis, I had lost my job and we were moving to Phoenix with no job on the horizon. You kinda feel like you can do anything when the love of your life has that kind of faith in you. :-)

Lousy pics, but just had to get something up tonight.

Congratulations on the gun and on finding Ms. Neomet! It sounds like you have done extremely well. However, I am not touching that last line!

No, I will not be putting a Viagra sticker on the bottom of my Barry mount! :P

Very Nice. Always wanted one of the Tanfo's to round out the stable of open guns. I shoot aimpoints and always wondered why more folks don't mount their Cmores this way to minimize the bore to dot offset like this to be closer to an Aimpoint setup. It just makes sense :)

I like the thumb rest... though it's on the wrong side for me

Thanks. Its a CR Speed that I took to the ultra high-tech Neomet shop (Our bathroom. 1 bdrm apt life has its shortcomings.) where I butchered up the CR with my dremel and a flat file. If you drill the stock holes in a CR out to m5 it bolts right up to the frame even for you righties. :D

When are you bringing it out to Rio?

I plan on being out for Tuesday Steel, then every match I can get to so I can learn to drive this thiing. Probably going to up the dot size. When I went outside the 6 was pretty hard for me to see. I'm going to pick up an 8 and a 12 to see if that helps. Bad eyesight just sucks!

Holy Cow! Ambi mag release or right hand side only?

It looks like the regular mag release. With the Tanfoglio, you can slide the mag release out and swap it over to the other side for left-handed shooters or those that prefer to use their trigger finger to activate it.

Alright, I promise these are the last ones I will post. Sorry, I just think it is flippin gorgeous!

Dude, bring it over to the house and we'll do some nice shots of it, in the studio!

Yes, I know I live on the other side of the world, but take the 202 to 101 and you are here!!
