If I shoot a big match in Florida this year, it will be the Florida State match, as of this time, I am not scheduled to work that week, but I am not done with my '09 work schedule yet, so we will see. 38superman Posted December 2, 2008 Share Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) I hate to pass up the Open. I missed it last year for the first time since I began IPSC. Its 800 miles one way, lodging, $200 entry, ammo and time off work. I'd do it anyway if I thought there would be enough Single Stack participation. However, over the last 3 years it's only drawn 8,4, and 7 shooters. If I'm going to shell out the money and time, I'd like to see enough folks to make the competition more interesting. Considering the economy, who knows how it will play out this year. I suppose I could take two guns and jump to limited if no one else shows up. Modoc Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 Scout, Well, we got to the toy store today and the Mrs. had a chance to handle and cycle (dry) both a Sig p239 and the Springfield EMP, and we proceeded to ordr an EMP . Of all of the smaller Semi-Auto pistols, this seemed to be the one that fit her hands the best. Now comes the double whammy: the Sticker price and the wait to find one through the shop's whosalers. The good thing is we can be paying installments on it as they search for said pistol . Now I need to get brass, bullets and another conversion for my Dillon 550.
