I understand Montana is about 3000 feet?Will that difference have any appreciable effect on the power factor? I know the temperature got some people in trouble at Area 4. I'm hoping to avoid that. Thanks. Altitude has almost zero effect on power-factor as we measure it, just a few yards downrange. The difference between bashing through 20 feet of sea-level air and 20 feet of 3000 ft air is really really low. Maybe 1 fps if the gods hate you that day. I know at Barry they are all the rage and were well worth the money.Ira There won't be any golf carts available for rent at this match, and we can't allow small personal vehicles such as ATV's, mules, golf carts, etc. The range is relatively compact, and there are two parking areas available. The stages will be split between the West and East ends of the range. I'm working on the squad schedule now, trying to keep driving between the two areas down to a minimum. Because there isn't a lot of open space that can be driven upon, it's important to keep the roads clear. We'll have plenty of parking help, but you'll have to walk to the stages from the parking areas. I'd suggest bringing your range cart if you have a lot of gear. You can ship ammo to yourself at your hotel. As an alternative, Ken Miller--"bubback"--has offered to accept ammo shipments for the match. He is a member of the BSPSC and an FFL holder. I called the reservation number listed and was told the same thing. He said that I needed to call the hotel to actually make the reservation. Therefore, there has been *significant* movement on the Open/Lim-10 wait list. If you are on it, you need to check your email and/or classification record to see if you've been offered a slot. If so, click the link provided to claim your slot right away. DO NOT DELAY as that link will expire and your chance to claim the slot offered to you will vanish after five business days. Also, the online booking utility for the hotel is now working properly. You'll be able to book rooms online for a period prior to the 24th now. The correct rate is $109. They only had a small handful of rooms at the $76 rate for our staff. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There are some handy new maps posted on the Nationals page for the Missoula area.
