Athena
Saw it yesterday, thought it rocked. Daniel Craig is BADA$$....(not to mention has awesome abs) as Bond. Will not mind watching it again.
Merlin Orr
Good flick. Bond has just enough of an arrogant smirk to make you want to slap the shjt out of him.... May be as good as Connery...?
tightloop
Bond needed to regain his edge...Brosnan was too much of a girlie man....
et45
I liked it and I have never been much of a Bond fan.Far less gadgets and more physical action.
mpeltier
Definatly a step up from Bronson, but still Daniel Craig does not bring the smooth classy polished persona of James Bond like Sean Connery did. Daniel Craig is more of a bad boy version of James Bond.
kschwan
Great flick. I swear that the first action scene is about 20 min long. awsome stunts by the one guy running away. Kinda missed the cool toys.
BigDave
The wife and I just saw it and we both enjoyed it. She said afterwards "Sorry, honey, but it looks like I got the better end of the deal. The Bond girls weren't all that great." My reply? "I could watch Vesper (Eva Green) eat cereal for hours." I got slapped.
Catfish
Haven't seen this one yet - but I will!! Can't help but giggle though, as this Bond: - got seasick and scared on his first public introduction when the SBS lads 'sailed' Bond to the big event in a zodiac - is admittidly afraid of guns - can't drive a stick shift - got seriously sunburned on the set - chipped a tooth in his first onscreen fight scene as Bond I'm a big Bond fan, and really can't wait to see the flick this weekend. But I can't promise that I won't giggle at some point during the film.
3quartertime
Saw it last night. Easily my favorite of the many recent attempts. I liked that they didn't try to build on the previous editions. Almost like this was the first one. You sort of get the impression that he is a new 00. Too wild to really do the job, but proves that he can make a difference my the end. I like how he was always beat up the whole movie. When you see his hands his knuckles are always on the verge of bleeding and his face is never really scar free. Much more physical than any Bond, maybe even Connery. The Bond girls were very understated. Mega cleavage from Eva. The bad guys girl was interesting, but you never really got to see her enough to see who she was. The photography was awesome! Seeing some of the places they filmed on the big screen was worth the ticket price. This Bond almost seems less British that others. His accent is downplayed much more. Instead of being unbelievably polished at all times he's a physical bad ass! The humor is very British though. Several one-liners had me laughing aloud. Not to ruin it, but the line about "you only say that because you know what I can do with my pinkie" was perfect! Interesting in this time of resurgence of poker games they use a card game as the hook. The high stakes chess match between Bond and the bad guy. The torture scene was really uncomfortable to watch, but realistic enough to hold my attention to see what happens. Not sure if this is a rating, but this Bond makes me believe again. When I was a kid I wanted to be the Sean Connery James Bond. This is the first time I have that feeling again. I wanna be a bad ass like James Bond!!! lol... Haven't seen this one yet - but I will!!Can't help but giggle though, as this Bond: - got seasick and scared on his first public introduction when the SBS lads 'sailed' Bond to the big event in a zodiac - is admittidly afraid of guns - can't drive a stick shift - got seriously sunburned on the set - chipped a tooth in his first onscreen fight scene as Bond I'm a big Bond fan, and really can't wait to see the flick this weekend. But I can't promise that I won't giggle at some point during the film. Being Bond ain't easy! Recently read an interview with Micheal Douglas. He was in a movie about the secret service this year with Kiefer Sutherland and Eva Green. He said the cast spent time training with the feds and such to get the realizim down. He expected Kiefer to be good at that part because of '24', but the surprise was that Eva was the best shot of them all! Said she surprised everyone... mike.45
Great movie - best Bond ever. The line: Vodka Martini... Does Sir want it shaken or stirred ? Do I look like I CARE.... ! sums the new Bond attitude up nicely !!

raz-0
Word is that the new Bond hates guns in real lifeConfirm anyone? http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/showbiz/arti...#33;-1059238085 The meaningful text "I hate handguns. Handguns are used to shoot people and as long as they are around, people will shoot each other. "That's a simple fact. I've seen a bullet wound and it was a mess. It was on a shoot and it scared me. Bullets have a nasty habit of finding their target and that's what's scary about them." They cite OK! magazine. You will find this article quoted several places online with no meaningful byline. Since nobody has produced the article who knows. Also those invvolved with the film deny it as rumor and have had the metnion of it striken from wikipedia (although it is still in the google cache). Short of back-ordering copies of OK!, I doubt you'll get a straight answer.
Catfish
Ok, went to the flick tonight and all I can say is: Damn good. Didn't giggle once. Excellent action scenes, and learing about how Bond became "Bond, James Bond" was classic. Good flick!! John Dunn
I appreciated the lack of silliness. I still think the franchise owes us all a free ticket for Moonraker.
mcflyiup
This movie was great and like all Bond's had beautiful women, nice scenery, fast cars, and lots of action. He is by far the most bad ass Bond.
Nemo
Saw it yesterday. Last night had nightmares about "chairs & ropes". Decent action flic with a mortal and serious 007. Lost interest on 007 flics because the new ones tried to be too funny. Liked this one.

sfinney
Awesome. This is much more the Bond that Ian Fleming wrote about (minus the smoking). Connery will always be the 007...... but this is probably the best Bond movie overall that I've seen.
tightloop
If you look at the guys eyes, he looks like Steve McQueen...noticed it in the first part of the movie...made it lots better for me....BTW, the black guy who was in the first chase sequence is one heck of an athlete...that high altitude stuff scares me...but not Bond, James Bond...Pretty cool flick
