And so lads and lasses we have reached the conclusion of yet another year in this miserable existence we call "life on planet earth".

2005 saw many events which changed the world, or at least our little individual slices of it.

It is with this in mind that we gather the kindling, soak it in lighter fluid and launch in a fusee.

Keep in mind the Hate Forum Guidelines and Launch your troubles on to the pyre of ire one last time for 2005 and start 2006 with a clean soul!!!

I hate that the county health dept is refusing to do anything about the meth lab across the street. Oh sure, the jerkoff that was cooking is sitting in the county lockup. But meanwhile we have a toxic site sitting next to a river that is rising rapidly.

I hate that 2005 saw me far too involved with my job to enjoy any of my favorite hobbies/sports as much as I want/need/deserve.

I hate that I haven't fired any live fire practice rounds since Spring and practicing only at matches has lead to a slow but steady erosion of my classification percentage.

I hate my grandmother (92 years old) is slowly slipping away into the grasp of dementia. She no longer answers the phone because she doesn't remember what the ringing means. She wanders at all hours and now has to move to a locked down facility to keep her safe (but it is within a decent stroll from my aunt and uncle whereas the current facility is a 30 minute drive so that is a good thing). I hate to think that 2006 will mean saying goodbye and burying her but then dementia has pretty much removed her from us already so maybe that is the better thing.

I hate that my fine state (Washington) has taken the "clean indoor air act" to extremes and now honest people trying to earn a living are losing their businesses. Bars, card rooms/casinos, bowling alleys, etc. are all now being cast upon the shores of financial ruin because the non-smokers that were supposed to flock to these establishments after they had clean air flat out aren't going to materialize.

I hate that 4 more deer carcasses showed up in the ditch a half mile down the road on our property. Clear signs of human butchering techniques. Called the DEC local ECO to report. I hate poachers and wish they could get what they deserve.

I hate that my best friend and wife are too sick to make the trip for New Years and are staying home.

The good thing I guess is that members shoot sporting clays at a discount New Years morning and I probably will feel less hung over and able to go.

Ditto on the edit crappery!

I hate noisy neighbours that think it's okay to play loud music at all hours of the day/night.

I hate that I have shot a match in two months - waiting for my gun :(

I hate my job sucks and I cannot for the life of me seem to win the bloody lottery. I mean how hard can it be.... ?

I hate that I have not been to the gym in a week (they are moving to a better building).

I hate that I have to go back to work on Tuesday.

Ok, I'm done

I hate that I got sick this week. I used all my vacation time last week, it's use it or lose it, so now I have to come to work. At least there is a good sized garbage can next to my tool box to throw up in, if need be. I went to the doctor last night, between him and prescriptions, I'm out another month or two before I can afford an RL550B. I can't go snowmobiling this weekend, which will probably be the best weekend of the year. I hate being sick.

I hate when judges decide to become defense attorneys.

I just litigated a case wherein a guy is caught smuggling 25 lbs of cocaine in a hidden compartment in his truck. Not only do I have to fight the absolutely crazy defense arguments trying to suppress the evidence, the judge added a few crazy ones of his own. So much for the neutral arbiter.

And now, we are going to have a new TV show (of course on CBS) sensationalizing all of the thousands of wrongly convicted people behind bars. Give me a f^%*ing break. It's almost impossible to gather enough evidence to convict the obviously guilty. I've sent hundreds to prison and not a god*&m one of them was innocent. But I've sure had to let a lot of guilty ones go. How about CBS put on a show about all of the victims of the guilty people who got off scot free because the State could not effectively prosecute them. it would not have to be fictional.

And finally, I hate the deification of Tookie Williams. If you're against the death penalty, that's cool. But that does not turn Tookie into some sort of Saint. How about Snoop Dog donate some of that Crip money to Tookie's victims as opposed to trying to turn Tookie into MLK.

I'm going back into the cave now. See you in 2006.

I hate all of what Kelly stated and as a suprise I HATE HALIBURTON!! These guys decend upon a job site and act like they own the place, and DON'T care what they destroy along the way. I am sick and tired of fixing things in thier wake. We pay thier bills and they wouldn't even be out here if we hadn't called them. On top of that at the price they charge I should get MUCH better service. We had to spend over $45,000.00 today just because they couldn't get a nitrogen truck lined out for our casing job and spent most the day just circulating and spining in the wind. I hate being away from home for the 5th year in a row for the Hollidays, but Uncle Jack is calling and all will be well......as soon as " Big Red " understands they serve at our behest!! Good luck Kelly!! Kurtm

I hate that wife and I got up at 5 am, made it over the US border at 5:30a and drove 11 hours only to have the Pass that we have to cross get closed due to several mudslides.

I hate that the pass was re-opened briefly at 5 pm and we missed it by probably 30 mins and had to go back to medford to stay the night since they are keeping the road closed overnight.

I hate that it rained something crazy all day and now there are LOTS of people that are flooded out off the I5 through Oregon and California.

Holy cow it rained puppies, cats, dogs, cows and just about everything else!

* Stuck in Medford waiting for the road to open tomorrow.. *

* Hope's Sig Lady is ok...*

On Wedesday while shooting the fourth of six tables of pins one of the Acc-U-Rails starts walking out the back of my open gun :o Ah-sh1t. So today I take it over to Doug's and as he is taking it apart he says " now I see why the rail broke ". Damn its got a cracked slide. :( Now I have to get a new slide for this old beast. Well at least while I was there we were able to talk about him building a new Limited gun for me. ;)

I stewed on this all night (Friday), so I guess it counts. I hate that I can't find a pair of shooting shoes or boots that are made in America. I went shopping last night at the local Gander Mountain. After looking at all the choices, I found a pair that was seemingly fit for the task. I look inside the tongue, and it says Made In China. I checked every brand they sell, Vasque, Merrel, Columbia, even some of the Danners... all the same, Made in China.

I ended up buying some .308 ammo... hopefully that was made in the U.S.

Have a safe and happy New Year everyone!

Yes, SiG Lady is OK. It doesn't flood in Eugene any more since The Corps put in our regional dams some few decades ago. All the outlying areas DO get the brunt of the runoff and the Siuslaw River west of here is a chronic offender. Eugene is about 400 ft above sea level and that's not much, but, again, the dams have changed everything.

We had one of these warm winter drenchers in 1996 and everyone is comparing 2005 now to 1996. I remember it well. I was here. No problems in Eugene that I can recall, though.

I was kinda concerned about Mr. and Mrs. sargenv and their Interstate-5 trip... They encountered beaucoup fog on the way up and god-knows-what on the way back. It's been raining non-stop here for days...... Last night about 10 p.m. it came down in worse-than-buckets. Sheets of nothing but endless water. It even unnerved ME a little, here safe in my non-flooding area. There comes a point where even when you're SAFE you get tired of the drench because you know what damage it's doing ELSEWHERE and you're all cooped up inside and can't even go out for a walk it's so wet.:blink: GAH!!!!:angry:
