Ok guys, if you had to pick a red dot for best overall usage which ones would be in the top three or four? And why? Price, Value, Durability, Clarity, Features ect.    I know things change over time but just trying to get some info and put it in one place for myself and others to view.
Thanks.

Regardless of the question, Trijicon is the answer.

Here is my list:

Open (frame mount) Sig Romeo 3 max

CO Trijicon SRO

PCC Eotech XPS2-1

Open- Best glass with the least optical distortion. No magnification. Nice big window.

CO-Best durability for slide ride

PCC-biggest window, awesome glass with no optical distortion (no magnification),  no color changes.

For Open, 5 MOA SRO frame mounted.  For slide mounted, DPP 2.5 MOA, FF3 8 MOA and RTS v4 6 MOA in that order.  If the SRO had mounting screws on .550" center like the others, they would be on all my pistols.  I actually like the RTS, but battery life is terrible, as in one match per battery if lucky; two per match if not.  BTW, all three of them are like that.  The only difference is one of them never requires a battery change during a match.  I run them at max brightness and turn them off between stages.  FWIW, a battery in an FF# will last for years, but I change them once a year anyway.  The DPP lasts most of a season.    Don't know how long a battery lasts in an SRO.  They ran all last season and are still going strong.

The RTS2 v4 is an older model.  Don't go by those specs.

The V5 has battery life that goes on and on.  I'll leave the dot on all day at a major without thinking about it, and then go on to use it for other matches, until it reads 2.7v or so.  Batteries aren't expensive, and they're easy to change.
