Any tips on getting an old crush washer off?

I'm changing out my muzzle device on my AR10 and the crush washer is stuck on the back.  It doesn't look like it's going to move.  Any tips on how to get that thing off?

Bigger hammer is always the right answer.

You're going to have to whack it with something.  I'd wrap the muzzle device with tape, put it in a vise, and use a hammer and punch on the crush washer.  Or something with a chisel shape tip would probably work well.  Hard to say without a photo.

If you can get a pair of vise grips around the washer, you my be able to work it loose.

I’ve had to dremel them off before, it’s a real pain.

In extreme cases you may have to cut it with an abrasive cut off wheel. Place a thin shim between the crush washer and barrel shoulder to avoid contact the wrong part with the cut off wheel.

Actually, she just created an illegal SBR in violation of NFA.  Feds not gonna like that.

Damn it is always going to be funny watching someone accidentally commit a felony by making an SBR although to be fair to her she did actually destroy it since it looks like she also cut through the gas tube. But hey, can still get one round off and then work the bolt using the charging handle each time. If you can’t get that tax stamp in time, modern problems require modern solutions.
