proudamerican
Another Vortex 1-6 option is the Strike Eagle. It does not have a clear of a lens as the Razor, but it has a similar reticle, with all marks illuminated for a couple hundred dollars instead of $1300. I run a Razor on my rifle, we put a Strike Eagle on my girlfriend's ultra light 3 gun rifle. Another advantage other than cost is that it weighs just 16 ounces, instead of 32. I know that the razor is a much higher quality scope (I haven't found one that I like as much), but if someone were on a tighter budget the Strike Eagle is a great option for the $$$$. kellymc
Learned a lesson this mourning. Don't announce a good deal on this forum before your's is shipped. LOL Bryan was still able to get me one droped shipped but it cost me another 25 dollars.
Phong Nguyen
You should be checking the Classifieds on this forum and the AR15.com Equipment Exchange. I see Vortex Razors on there all the time.
JOThompson
eBay -- I saw a lightly used JM-1 sell for $1050 over the weekend. Wish I had the funds for it.
adamriser
If you find a cheaper one with an MRAD reticle, I'll trade you straight across for my JM version.

koideath
I found mine on optics planet with the deals they run sometimes. I think I paid $1125?
The Donald
I love my Razor, but I had a problem with my rifle at a local match, and borrowed a friends rifle with the Strike Eagle on it for the long range stage. I really liked the scope made hits out to 400 yds with it. The Strike Eagle is a great scope for the money!
koideath
I agree the Strike Eagle for the money you just can't beat it. It is nice to finally have a quality scope for a entry price. Makes it much easier for more people to get into 3-gun.
adamge
I have a Millet 1-6. It is the same price as the Strike Eagle and after using both I'd rather have the Millet. Less common, but worth looking for.
kellymc
Daughter now wants to move from HM iron to HM scope. Has anyone used the strike eagle on a 308 for very long,
CHLChris
I just listed a 1-6x24mm Strike Eagle. My 3-Gun match locally only goes out to 50m yards so I find I stay at 1x. Might as well stay with red dot. But this scope is great for most matches!
SvenA76033
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this I'm new here, but I am looking to sell a new viper hd 1-6. never used won it in a match. message me if anyone is interested.
CalmlyDeMented
Yeah, the classified section is the place. Always some good deals there.
Huch
The one issue with the Strike Eagle is that the reticle lines are thick, especially on the holdover lines. They cover the whole target at 300+ yards. I switched to a Seiner P4Xi and it's amazing. Has the same reticle as the JM Razor and even though it's only a 1-4x I shoot better at long range with it because the glass is better and the reticle lines are fine. Worth a look. toeheadAR
There is also the TX5i Steiner of you don't want to lose too much magnification. Both are lighter then the Vortex.
1chota
Vortex Viper PST II 1-6, I got the MRAD reticle. Looks like a Razor but less $$$. Side by side, the glass is not quite as good, but very close. Definitely worth the price.
