perttime
You want to keep your fingers behind the gap with any revolver. A full power ( = slow powder) load out of a .357 with 4" barrel can create pretty good fireballs at the muzzle.

Modoc
Not quite as impressive since it’s a mid day shot. 38 spl with a full case of FFFg and a 158gr RNFP “Snakebite” our of a Ruger NM Vaquero. The 12 gauge with 3 dreams of FFg gave a LOT more smoke and flame.
matteekay
Boy howdy - that there is some smoke! What sort of power factor is that?
Modoc
(158*675)/1000= 106.7 with velocity from memory. Real black powder and a big grin A night shoot with these loads is even more fun.

perttime
Anybody managed to get photos of muzzle flashes in fog or drizzle? I remember a day a couple of years ago with a 4" GP100 and the water in the air seemed to accentuate the flash from "healthy" factory rounds. Timmeh
AK pistol...8.5" with a comp...it just goes boom, that's about it. But honestly, super soft shooting with a big flash!

But honestly, super soft shooting with a big flash! My non-comped AK pistol (Yugo M92) is so loud one of the match directors drove up, while I was shooting, opened his truck door, immediately closed it, and wouldn't get out of the truck until I stopped shooting
