It still looks like snake-road-kill that's been sittin' out in the hot Arizona sun for a while. Yep, it's a dessicated snake that got caught napping in the road........:P

Looks like the crowning job  <_< on my flatmates Performance Centre 627 when he pulled it out of the box ....... not pretty. :o

But in reality I think it is the image of a Japenese Zen Koan:

Japanese Koan, in Zen Buddhism of Japan, a succinct paradoxical statement or question used as a meditation discipline for novices, particularly in the Rinzai sect. The effort to “solve” a koan is intended to exhaust the analytic intellect and the egoistic will, readying the mind to entertain an appropriate response on the intuitive level. You guys are all around it :)

Maybe a lil more specifics.

Enso (jap.) - lit. "circle-shape", the circle as a symbol for the true nature of existence and enlightenment. Painted with a single brush stroke, the Enso is a popular subject in Zen Art. It is said that the Enso perfectly reveals the painter's state of mind - you can paint a powerful and well balanced Enso only if your mind is clear and free from thought or intentions

Bingo........

Quote from a page I found seems to describe the symbolism...: Emptiness with Fullness. To End and To Begin---the Circle of Life. Simplicity, Beginnings, Endings. In Zen Buddhism, it has been known to represent the flawlessness of the Buddhist doctrine and the profound experience of the meditator.

And.... it's scarily close to "Enos", eh?? :)
