I am a member there too. MSSA is a great facility with alot of nice people. What is the average number of rounds that you fire at a steel challenge match? Minimum round count is about 150. It's steel so I'd say bring 200 in case of any reshoots or like me, I miss an awful lot!! Usually 6 stages of 5 strings. 5 rounds per string. You can shoot centerfire or rimfire or both.

Do most people use major loads or load down for this match? Anyone have a good practice routine for the Pro-Am?

Just got some Magtech primers and thought I'd compare some I had on hand. Just info for what it's worth. Draw your own conclusions. CCI: Diameter .1745 Height .118 Win: Diameter .1745 Height .119 M/T Diameter .1740 Height .117 All small rifle primers. I didn't do a search here. More and better info might be found on the forum.

There are some threads on this already, but I didn't find them. HSmith posted some good info on it. You can cut a Wilson/Nowlin frame to fit a Clark/Para barrel. You can cut a Clark/Para barrel to fit a Wilson/Nowlin frame. I did the last. I took a Schuman barrel with a clark ramp and hand cut the ramp to fit a wilson frame. It turned out great. Maybe I just got lucky. I mic'ed it, cut it down close and then finished it with files, stones and fine sandpaper. I went very slowly and measured a lot. Having said that it took less than 2 hours. You might pm hsmith. He'll know and he's a great guy. Hope that helps. 9x

Just thought I'd check and see if anyone is familiar with this. It is very nasty and hard to get diagnosed. Arm youself with some info and pray it never happens to you or a loved one. Any info would be helpful. thanks

I replaced the feed tubes on my 650s. They are older models. I found out they had lowered the casefeeder height, the tubes were too short. Rather than lower the casefeeder stand I decided to cut the old case feed tube off to the length that the new tube was short. Then took a piece of heater hose with the right inside diameter to slide over the tube to join them together. Now when I have a jam or wrong case, I just slide the heater hose down and remove the top section of tube to clear it. Hope I described that well. Just something that worked for me.

You can also cut the c/p barrel for n/w frame. I just did one and it's working great so far. You might ask hsmith about it though, he'll know. I've only got a few hundred rounds through it so far. (barrel costs less than frame if you screw-the- pooch)
