Andreas
I've had enough of accidentally activating the safety on my SP-01s when slipping up on a draw, weak-hand transfer, or some other maneuver. What are your favorite techniques for making them stiff as hell and effectively impossible to activate? Staying Production legal, of course—can't just weld them into the off position. eerw
Couple of ways to go. or combo of all. thin safeties to get rid of anything that you can catch. fit super tight. lots of trial and error. Steve Perman detent spring. they are heavier, longer, push the detent harder into the safety.

bc361
The standard SP01 safeties works fine for me and aren't as hard to find as the thin ones. Ive never had an inadvertent safety engagement with them.
Bouboy02
Im a lefty and used to always bump the safety on my shadow with my thumb. Now i just ride the safety with my thumb like you do on a 1911 and don't have to worry about it.

Andreas
Got in touch with Scott for some springs and have a thin safety inbound for testing. Thanks all for the suggestions!
rowdyb
I run the thin safeties as well. That alone reduced any issue.
himurax13
Another option is to run the tumbler safeties and tumbler sear cage from an SA model. You will also need a right side detent and spring. It is a bit harder to engage. Edited April 3, 2015 by himurax13
Smitty79
Is there a thin left side only safety that is Production/SSP legal? I'm right handed and don't need the safety on both sides.

himurax13
Unless I'm missing something, it looks like that thread says you can't do it. Oh well. I don't see why not. You can use the factory safeties from another pistol of the same brand that qualifies in that division. Edited April 3, 2015 by himurax13

Andreas
Is there a Video for installing the " DSPerman CZ Extra Power Thumb Safety Spring" ? Not hard. Pull the sear cage and very carefully remove the detent. The spring is under tension and you'll never find it should it launch from the pistol. bockerSV
http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 This is a good guide on disassembling a cz, just get to the part where you remove the old detent spring and detent and swap out the new one. Piece of cake.
