selecw
What's the difference between the $589 kits and the $300 kits here: http://eaacorp.com/gun_accessories/index.php/parts/tanfolio/witness/conversion-kit/long-slide-conversion-kit.html I was thinking of selling a couple of mine I never use, and want to set a fair price. Thanks for the guidance.
kneelingatlas
It looks to me like they have an excess stock of wonder finish uppers they're trying to clear out. That finish looks great on a blued frame, but it clashes with the hard chrome frames.
GlockOp
I have a limited 40. Would the 9mm long slide work on that lower?
kneelingatlas
Yes, as long as it's large frame. Put in your SN at checkout and they'll should get you the right one. Edited March 5, 2015 by kneelingatlas
GlockOp
Thanks! Wonder if it requires fitting? Not a problem but wanted to km ow.
kneelingatlas
I've had quite a few and never had to fit any, some fit tighter than others, but they all fit.
GlockOp
Thanks John. Seems like I cant go wrong for $300 :-)
AlphaSeeker
I purchased my Blued 9mm long slide for 289. Only 2 years ago. Make sure the cheaper one is a long slide. The standard witness slide is shorter than the 4.75" long slide.
jacob0
Interesting. I may get one for my limited. If the clash is too annoying, I could just refinish it in a more matching color.
jacob0
I just couldn't resist. I've been needing a longslide upper in 9mm anyways.
BiggMike
Does anyone have a picture of the wonder finish slide and a chrome lower. I'm looking for a 9mm upper and $300 is to good to pass up. Pics please!!!!!
kneelingatlas
Nealio has pictures of a wonderfinish slide on both blued and chrome lowers here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194699&p=2157014

Guest
Damn, i should have waited 10 months for a .40 conversion! Ha! Yeah, that is a hell of a deal on the conversions by today's EAA price standards. I thought maybe they came to their senses and rolled back the prices, but 6" barrels are still over 300 bucks. Yikes! I don't think the grey-ish tone of the wonderfinish looks that bad against the chrome. But then again I am not that into shiny objects. (ok I did pop for a wonderfinish conversion in 9mm). himurax13
I am looking for a 4.75" barreled slide myself.
BiggMike
I just called EAA and they told me the price for the wonder finish conversion kits are wrong. They are actually $609. They wouldn't honor the website price. She told me their website manager was working to fix the price on the website.
