Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. After switching to an 18lb hammer spring, the 22 conversion is now super reliable. It will do bill drills all day without hiccup. Now if only the 22lr primers would be that consistent. On an SA Match, the higher spring weight isn't an issue. Thanks Nealio
  2. I guess Tanfo disco's are not a big enough market. I told him that the only thing needed was a larger hole. They could actually use a much larger hole and provide a bushing to allow use on CZ and Tanfo. Would not have to make different versions.
  3. Use a diamond bit for the Dremel [0.103] from Lowes or Harbor Freight diamond files [the round one].
  4. i spoke to CGW and asked that they produce a model with a pin hole on .105 . Nothing else needs to be done. If they want to make a drop-in for the OEM 2 piece sear, then they would have to thin the wing. For the one pice sear, no other mods required.
  5. Here you go: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194198&hl= This install is for Stock 3 with OEM sear. If running in SA, I don't think its necessary to swap out the oem sear. I spoke to CGW before ordering the parts, told him what it was for and was given advice on opening the pin hole in the sear. Adam's use of the diamond dremel bit is the best method I've used thus far. The job takes about 40min [second time around], if you do not have to fit a new sear to the safety. Wish I had video capability to demonstrate how simple it really is.
  6. I'll call him with dimentions, on Thursday.
  7. Look through my posts on this subject. Pictures and video included
  8. Do not remove material from the face of the wing which gets pushed by the trigger bow. Thin the wing from the bottom to allow the bow to slip out of engagement.
  9. I fired the type 3 into the stock 2 with Titan hammer and one pice sear. Pre-travel dropped by 50%. You do not need to reduce the face of the "wing". Just remove about 0.01 from to bottom, to thin the wing. Also break the sharp lower edge of the wing face. I also installed same disco into Stock 3 with OEM sear - same improvement in all honesty, the 13lb hammer spring, new disco, extended firing pin and polished internals make the hammer unneccessary. Will try an even lighter hammer spring to get the Titan to do its job.
  10. Glad you like it. I used the diamond files from Harbor freight - wish I knew about the Dremel diamond bit. Did you have to dress the bit for the required diameter or did it come undersized already?
  11. I already fit the sear and all is functioning as advertised. Looks like the new sear is case hardened. Would think that a part that requires metal removal would be fully hardened to prevent wear after fitting. i am going to install the CGW disco, since the one recommended for this hammer does not reduce pre-travel.
  12. Installed the Titan hammer, one piece sear and disco. Can not engage the safety now. Top leg does not allow clearance to engage the safety. Anyone else had this issue? I thought this was a drop in.
  13. If the dimples on the mag tube are smooth, just bevel the rear corners. You will know what is needed when you test the mag without the spring. Do not try to file down the simples, they are your guides. have not seen any affects on the casings.
