jtaylor996
Colt came out with a new competition gun that had a neat gas block that wasn't available separately. I just noticed that has changed, and it's up on Brownells: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/gas-system-parts/gas-blocks/ar15-m16-adjustable-gas-block-prod71253.aspx?avs|Make_3=AR-15/M4 Damn expensive, though. poortrader
I have one that came with my CRP-18. It's really easy to adjust especially since I never bring tools to the range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
EaZeNuTZ33
$40-50 more than the gas blocks on my rifles....of course they all require a long Allen wrench to adjust too. Only issue I see is limiting the length of your handguard or you won't be able to reach it.
OPENB
I was wondering how hard it would be replace the screw in an SLR or Syrac with a thumb adjustable screw like on the Colt?

That's the one. Does it have positive click stops on the adjustment?
poortrader
Yes. There's a notch on the block that metering stick fits into. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stlhead
I am trying to infuse my life with positive energy. I am starting with my Benos posts. I think they did a very nice job on the knurling of adjustment knob. It looks very non slip and positive. Sterling, your use of the emoji in your last post added quite a bit to the meaning for me. dcloudy777
Cool. I was asking about this in the last "adjustable gas block" thread. I do wish it was a little cheaper, but I like it.

poortrader
That looks like a recipe for disaster at a match. How? This has been around for a couple of years but I don't think Colt sold it individually until now. All of the Colt pro shooters use them. Sterling White
Not that anyone would do it but it looks like it would be easy to adjust. Would suck to have your rifle go single shot on the next stage.

NisilS14
how often does one need to readjust their gas? I haven't needed to readjust mine since I put my rifle together, seems like a set and forget type deal to me. I wouldn't warrant the need to have it adjustable on the fly unless the rifle is switching from a suppressor to no suppressor regularly.
Chuck Anderson
I had to adjust mine at a match last year year. First stage of the Pro-Am I found the batch of ammo I shipped was a touch light and was short stroking. That little knob allowed me to add a bit of gas between stages and the rifle was flawless the rest of the match. I could have probably done the same thing with an allen wrench, but I've also stripped the heads out on those buggers once they get crudded up inside. And I usually don't travel with a complete tool set to out of state matches. Saved my butt.

bmiller
I have a colt rifle that shipped with one. It works great. Came with a Sampson rail from the factory . It can get gummed up with carbon if you don't adjust it much. Edited October 22, 2014 by bmiller
