I have always heard y'all down south where it's really southern people not transplants. My dad says "warsher" as in washing machine, he is from Ohio so I don't know if that's from there? A fellow welder, that I soon discovered was from Toledo Ohio, commented on my accent and ask where I was from. After I finally got him to understand where Morgan county Ohio was located, he replied; "oh, lap land"! I said, lap land?
