jargon51
Does anyone know or have any experience with using a 3rd party USB wall charger i.e. an Apple USB charger to charge the Shotmaxx?
alma
You should be able to use an Apple charger provided that you are attaching a micro USB cable to it. I have various charges for my Android tablets or phones (which already charge with micro USB), my phone's car charger, or even my computer with success. I appreciate that the ShotMaxx uses the same charging standard as every other mobile device that I own.
doublealpha
Thanks Eli/DAA. I also think the start buzzer is a bit long, .60s or more I guess? (Par time cannot be set below .6) Can a FW update be made to shorten it to say <0.5 Or custom-set? Sorry, but all Start beep times are set to 0.6sec. This is the reason why the par time cannot be set shorter than that.
doublealpha
Does anyone know or have any experience with using a 3rd party USB wall charger i.e. an Apple USB charger to charge the Shotmaxx? Yep, that should not be a problem as long as the charger you use has decent quality. Apple's stuff seems OK. Try avoiding some 1-dollar chargers since they may output some unwanted spikes that might damage the internal circuitry.

So far this is the best timer I have to date I can recommend w/ confidence to friends. And in my neck of woods, this sells much cheaper than all other timers I have. BoyGlock
I did some bill drills, 6 shots on A. My shotmaxx repeatedly recored more than 6 shots. Sensitivity 5, sensor mic, filter .02, spy off. Whats wrong w/ my settings? Eta: after a string, the display shows the 6th shot but when reviewed it displays shots beyond 6th, ie. 7, 8, 9...w/ corresponding splits and accumulated time on top Edited March 28, 2014 by BoyGlock

jargon51
Does anyone know how to turn on bluetooth? The instructions say to "press the up/down button to turn bluetooth on or off" When I do this it only changes the time from 12 - 24 hour format or it changes the second display to date? Any help is greatly appreciated.

jargon51
You need to go into settings after selecting the timer mode Okay thanks but still having some problems. I set send to on, see the Bluetooth icon but my phone doesn't see it. When I turn send off it appears on my phone. I then turn send back to on and try to pair but it says unsuccessful. What am I doing wrong?
alma
Make sure you don't already have a saves profile for it. If there is then delete it and try pairing again. I assume you are searching for devices in the bluetooth menu on your phone when you enter "send" mode? Edited March 29, 2014 by alma

euxx
I also saw the "reversed on/off" BT issue. Though it might be fixed in one of the recent SM firmwares posted at http://www.shotmaxx.com/support/
AdamM
It can still happen from time to time. What you need to do is set Send to Off. Plug the SM into a USB power source (charging) for at least 10 seconds. Unplug it and then try turning Send On. If it is still reversed, do it one more time, but usually one time does the trick. Though it might be fixed in one of the recent SM firmwares posted at http://www.shotmaxx.com/support/ I'm on the latest firmware. That's weird. I set send to off, it appeared on my phone. I clicked pair and what do you know it's connected. So no Bluetooth icon and send set to off actually means on? Sounds like a bug.
AdamM
It is a bug. If the phone sees it when send is off, you Must reset it. You will not receive times unless it says Send On and the phone sees it.
