Pictures?I noticed my other 1911s are like this too but we cant really see it. I guess only the full dust cover and flush with slide are noticeable.Interesting. My Edge doesn't look like that. Thought I would also provide an update. Got the call from Dawsons on Friday the 12th to let me know that my Limited .40 would ship out only to get a call a few hours later saying that they are sending the pistol back to STI for a problem with the sights. I asked if they could fix it themselves or throw a Dawson sight on it and they said that they had to send it back as it's a warranty issue. I was a little disappointed but at the same time happy that they took the time to look it over before shipping it out for me to discover the problem. Good news is that it was shipped out to me today and I will have it on Thursday.

I think calling BS might be a bit harsh but I understand where you're coming from. I ordered on Feb 4th and was wondering how someone who ordered almost 2 months later got theirs. But Hey good for you Zmego, sounds like you won the lottery. I hope you like it and come back to tell us how much.

Very few from what I have heard and read...starting to get a bit concerned about this wait. You are starting to be that guy. Don't be that guy.I am that guy pipes...just been real quiet lately and patience is not one of my strong points. From someone who has worked on / led a lot of projects, things have a way of falling behind when you depend on external parties (i.e, TiN coating vendors). But we still put together a project plan and timeline. If and when things fall behind, we let stakeholders know, and that's about the extent of it if we have our way. One question will lead to a hundred, and before we know it we're taking manpower off a project to explain the delay in detail. The right time for a post-mortem is when things are back on track and in steady state. If we want twice weekly updates and details on delays, you're probably taking 4-8 hours a week from production folks - time probably better invested in making guns. Don't be that guy. Really. I'm not asking for twice weekly reports and I think that even if there were frequent updates you're not taking 4-8 hours away from production work, come on man. I'm not trying to cause a panic, I'm sure we will all get our guns but the wait time has me concerned that it won't be anytime soon. Not threatening to cancel or blaming anyone so what kind of guy am I being...yes a guy that's concerned he won't get his new gun that he ordered in time for the shooting season. Settle down people.

yep looks like main spring housing to me as well. Is there another line on the other side of the grip in the same spot as that line? If so then it's definitely the MSH.

I was the second .40 limited on the list. Also, iirc, I ordered on Jan 24 I was told that meant that I received one of the preorders that dawson ordered before SHOT show. Very helpful information. Hoping to get the call soon but beginning to think that I may still be waiting awhile. Thanks

Congratulations, this gives me a bit more hope than I had yesterday when Dustin said months. I know you ordered from Dawson and I am number 10 on the list, hopeful to get the call soon. Don't know whey Dawson said another month when I spoke with them?

Just spoke to Dawson and I was told that they have only received one limited DVC and that they are not expecting more for another month...not sure how entirely true that is as I am assuming that they don't really know when they will receive shipment but thought I might as well pass that information along.

Did you by chance ask how many limited guns they received?
