EA308
Started with a S&W M&P9c. It was my everyday carry and was good enough for the first couple IDPA competitions I shot.
AdotOdot4
I shot my first match with the first pistol I purchased, a CZ P01. It still sees use as a carry gun and I will occasionally shoot a match with it.
m1agirl
My first gun I competed with was my Sig 226 Enhanced Elite in 9mm. Wasn't the best performance but it helped break the ice.
troupe
My first USPSA match was at the Weirton ,W.Va club, home of the Mountaineer Classic. I shot a Smith & Wesson Mod 29 with a 6 1/2 barrel and a couple of speed loaders. Power factor was not an issue, but I was asked to not shoot anymore steel. It did not take long for me to pick a Colt 1911, and it has been money spent ever since. It has been a fun ride and many great friends over the years. KSwift
But since I'm here, my first match was shot with a Sig 556 Sport, a S&W M&P9 Pro 5" and a Remington 870 Police Magnum; the only upgrade between all three was an extended mag tube on the 870. CaptainOverkill
Local practical pistol matches with a Para P14 with a beavertail, trigger job, ambi safety, Bomars, and a magwell all done by a local smith. I wish I still had it. After a long (12-13 year) hiatus I returned with a Glock 34 in IDPA then moved to USPSA with a Glock 35.
RippinSVT
A long time ago I shot some local action matches with a Sig P229. When I really got into it, my first big match (Bianchi Cup) was shot with a stockish G34 in Production Class. I since upgraded to a couple 9mm and 38SC 1911's for Bianchi, and relegated the G34 (now a home-built racegun) to USPSA duty, taking 1st place in my first USPSA with it. You might say that piece of shit plastic gun has popped my cherry in a few shooting sports.
