Shooter Grrl
Bah! I hate mowing, weeding, taking care of this large plot of land. Any unemployeed Tennesseans wanna earn some dough (SAMIAM?) Somebody must take pity on me and do this for me. I'll provide beer and steaks even

TriggerT
I will start the bidding with the 4.5 Acres I have to take care of. I HATE IT SOOOOO MUCH! All I think about is how all that time could be spent practicing.
uscbigdawg
Don't you have David for all this kind of stuff (and for the record...I don't care about a broken limb...get 'er done!....Just kidding). Too, don't y'all have a tractor for this stuff? Bay Area suburbia is sounding pretty right now, huh. $40 to the local gardener and we're good to go! Shooter Grrl
TriggerT I only have 3 acres. You win - now come mow for me Richie... big guys says "bite me". (For the record, it's the 70+ hrs at work that makes it impossible for him to get it done, not the cast!) And yes, I have a tractor. I've called every damned gardener in the area and they all told me they weren't taking new customers. I just don't wanna spend 4+ hours in the heat smelling cut grass - blech! TriggerT
Well, I have to fess up and admit that the horses chew down about 2-2.5 of our acres. Still, what I do have to mow, and fence repairs, and tree trimming, and painting, and, and, and.....you get the idea

TriggerT
Sounds like you need a bigger tractor. Louis Everytime I mow my yard I am glad I bought a tractor with a 54 inch deck. I wish I could afford one with something even bigger for the more open areas I have to cut.
Shooter Grrl
Well I'm back - the mowing is done! I definitely need a bigger tractor! I only have a 42 in deck, and it's weak too, but today - I put her in high gear, and the blades up high too. It's, shall we say, trimmed 3 hours, start to finish, just mowing, and not done well! NMinzghor
Get yourself a good mid mower with a Velke lawn ski and you'll be sailing through that. Especially if you don't bag. They are much faster than tractors. Nick
EricW
Go to a golf course and see if you can buy an old gang reel mower that they use to do roughs with. 5 or 6 passes and you'll be done.
Shooter Grrl
Do any of these spectacular pieces of machinery work on hills? While not large, they are steep. I got stuck three times today!
diehli
The ones I see out my back window do hills (golf course mowers, that is).
TDean
What the hell's a Velke Lawn Ski Nick? Kath 1.3 acres, half of which is grass. I sounded fun when we bought the place, but now...... I starting to visualize myself tooling around on a JohnDeer with one hand on the wheel and the other on a homebrew.
Madmark
Vicki and I have almost 2 acres to mow. We dreaded the mowing part due to also having 38 trees in the lawn, 2 gardens, propane tank, rock pile, storage sheds, odd shaped driveway, house and fenceline, and 100 yards of ditch. We bought a 50" Dixon RAM 50 zero turn mower with a 22 horse motor. (and a cup holder!) The thing is so fun to drive, we now fight over who gets to mow!!! It takes us a little under an hour and a half, because of the obstacles. Plus, the only color it comes in is Dillon Blue! A herd of goats might be cheaper.................. ErikW
What you need is one of those AI mowing robots. But you might have to build a fence.
Nik Habicht
Kath, next time you buy a house make the deal I made with Carol: Everything outside the four walls is her responsibility. Failure to agree to my terms would have had me insisting on a townhouse.....
wadrew
I hope the reverse gear works on your tractor. Mine broke in the gearbox and it's LONG been off warranty. I hate defective/damaged equipment!
