Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I used to travel a ton for work back in the day. It was awesome to be able to see many parts of the world and immerse oneself into varying cultures. I have been to all but about 9-10 of the US states and traveled to over 30 countries. I have a passport at home that I had to send back to have additional visa pages put in because I ran out of space. Been from Honolulu to Helsinki, Tokyo to Tel Aviv, Moscow to Melbourne. Glad I was able to do it when traveling was not nearly as onerous as it is today. We didn't have children so I was able to take my wife along to some pretty fabulous places. Unfortunately I burned her out on museums in Paris and I don't think she will ever step foot in one again.
  2. I have a problem where no matter what I do, the lock ring loosens as I use the press. I even put a small piece of tape on the plastic locking tabs to try and make them tighter against the threads but still no joy. Any recommendations?
  3. Had the motor on my CV-500 burn out and seize yesterday. Would be very happy to just be able to get a replacement motor. Dillon, HELP! Michael.
  4. Why use the same gun? It stinks with 2 guys with Benelli's and one with a Remington, as the function is slighty different, and under the clock isn't the time to try to remember why a round isn't feeding from the mag. Since it is only 9 slugs, I *think* we will just be loading one gun with slugs and then shooting it. Shouldn't be too difficult. (I hope!) Oh yeah, and I plugged Remzilla for 8+1 so I can't screw up and overload.
  5. I'm bringing a case of 12Ga. just in case. Looking forward to the fun. Michael.
  6. Nope, that was you and I at A-7. No harm, no foul. Michael.
  7. Sounds great Pete! I was fortunate enough to have attended the last two and can attest to the fact that it was a great match. I'm looking forward to it.
  8. No worries as there is no such animal as "Open" or "Limited" class. The classes are U, D, C, B, A, M, and GM. Class represents your shooting ability compared to others. "Divisions" are determined by the equipment you use for a particular match. (Not jumping on you, it is a common confusion) I blame Charlie Funk for it and those familiar with the early development of EZ-score will understand why.
  9. Pat, the folks over at GMPS are great and will help you out with support and advice. There are several clubs in central Massachusetts and two in Maine. See www.USPSA-NE.org for match and club information.
  10. Tim, What is this "OPEN CLASS" You speak of?
  11. Well folks, it looks like I will find myself in Joberg the last week of January 09 for a business trip. Would it be worthwhile for me to add a day or two to my itinerary and take in a side venture? Looking for any and all advise. (Other than "don't go")
