G...no one can ever accuse you for not being CZanatic. :) I remember when I bought my first one about three years ago -- you and a couple of others (e.g. czeer) were the experts I sought for research. Now, I feel like an "old-timer" given the recent explosion of interest in CZ/Tanfo.

Going through some archived stuff and remembered these old pics. See if you can find 'em:

They're in there somewhere.... lmao

Not certain, it was done by CZ Custom. I liked my Chrome one so much that I bought the black one slightly used. It had a bunch of work done on it by CZC. Competition hammer and trigger work, fiber optic front sight and competition rear sight.

It's from Caspian. Has the LPA-style cut as the stock Shadow Target sight. My stock sight broke.

Justaute,

What adjustable rear sight is that?

NEAT!!!

Ill go check out their website to see if i can track it down. Thanks for the info.

You guys are making me want a CZ. Thankfully I have not shot one yet.

Ok with that said what is the draw of the CZ to make it so popular with the competition shooting group.

Perceived cheater gun.

The reality is that the guns simply have less felt recoil in the hand so they are more pleasurable to shoot. With the same downloaded power factor ammo i see no difference in muzzle climb in a G17 versus my Shadows.

Triggers are a wash between the two. If you know how to press a trigger you can make almost anything work. People like CZ's because of the 2 pound single action so it is easier to hose and walk away with a ton of charlies. But hey, it LOOKED fast...right?

Here is my contribution to the thread. A CZC Compact L that I picked up from someone on the Forums. I have done some obvious external mods plus internal to include CGW Short Reset System, disconnector, and pins, etc.

The trigger came very nice from CZC but it's even better with the additional CGW parts. It certainly allows you to carry with confidence.

Assuming competition trigger work across the board the CZ's DA trigger pull is comparable to every pull on a Glock, Xdm or M&P. After that the CZ single action pull is significantly better. Having said that - it's still the carpenter, not the hammer.

Based on my experience, I disagree. I have shot all the guns you mentioned and am one of the earlier adopters of CZ in USPSA. My Shadows have a lot of work in them and their DA are not as good as Glock/XDM/M&P with good trigger jobs.
