Messing around in the military with 9 volt batteries on our tongues,,,,,,, bright idea occurred,,,,,,,
gob of saliva to eyelid,,,, place battery terminals on eyelid,,,,,,, 9 volts directly to the eyeball,,,,,,, try it, go ahead, I'll wait
I have an SP-01 Shadow and have done a little polishing and other tune-up stuff on it.
I also have a P-01 and did some tune-up stuff on a guys SP-01 Tactical.
Decocker and safety model triggers will tune up about the same,,,,, the decocker models are just a little bit more of a pain to reassemble. Once you have the slave pin and have done it a couple of times it is not horrible (still sucks though).
I have an Armscor that I've been happy with. I wasn't really wanting a 1911 but a lowball bid on Gun Broker happened to be the winning bid, so now I have one.
It all depends on budget and intended uses.
Mine measures 1.5mm. Cut the rod a little long an melt a "blob" on one end, put the rod through the front sight with the blob towards the action, melt a "blob" on the muzzle end to secure it.
BE CAREFUL<<<<<< A LITTLE HEAT GOES A LONG WAYS ON THE FO ROD.
Brownells, CZ Custom, etc A lot of place sell it,,,, finding lowest shipping cost would be my concern.
I don't have the Federal box. The Remingtons that worked are 1 oz (1200fps).
I was just using it today to try and get a "feel" for the gun. I will probably only use it for 3 gun and waterfowl from here on out.
My M3000 would not cycle Federal game loads today. Probably cost me a couple of quail.
I cycled the cheap Remington stuff the other day,,, but not this Federal.
I think a TS may be more CZ than you need. I have a SP-01 Shadow, a P-01, an SP-01 Phantom and a RAMI and they are plenty nice without resorting to spending $1,200.00 on a TS that takes TS only mags (big $$).
Get a Shadow or a standard CZ and upgrade the sights and a little DIY trigger work and I think you'll be happy with it.
Took it out this a.m. looking for "flying things" to shoot at. Didn't have much luck on a couple of "flying things". Had a bunch of 00 buck loads that have been laying around for years and decided to burn them up. Loaded up 11 + 1 + 1 and let my brother go with it. He trotted down a road with hedge trees on either side taking shots at hedge balls along the way.
The follower got hung up at one point,,,, looks like I need to go in and do some additional smoothing/polishing inside the mag tube. Other than that the gun ran great,,,, points nice, functions well, cycles fast. I think it will be a good 3 gun shotgun and will be able to be used on "duck and goose like targets" also. I cut a 23 1/2 long bamboo "plug" so it is limited to 2 in the tube for migratory "flying things".
No rethreading of the tube for the Nordic extension?
Nope. No rethreading was necessary. I did have to cut off a little on the end of the tube and I did have to sand the threads on both the tube and the nut. i.e. sand then try, sand then try, etc. Once I got to the right point,,,, everything just went right together.
This was a lightly used M3000 from Gunbroker. The seller said it was bought new in September. It looks "as new" but supposedly has around 100 rounds through it. I gave $350.00 + shipping and figure they did me a favor my getting a headstart on the "break-in" and saved me $100.00!!!!
