  1. tried replacing, didn't work. the extra power spring with 1/2 coil removed has worked 100% so far.
  2. See above post. Unfortunately mine is not running either. [emoji17] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Understood. Just glad it seems to be running well. We’ll see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes, sure it was an empty case, every time. No light strikes or failure to fire. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Replaced extractor spring with an extra power extractor spring after removing 1/2 coil (to ensure slide will go fully into battery). Shot 250 rounds of factory ammo and 100 rounds of minor PF reloads (mixed range brass) and no further issues. Keeping fingers crossed! [emoji1695] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I put mine in a box. Using a QC 10 upper and bolt with the Gibbz lower for the lefty mag release. Never could get that bolt to extract/eject reliably. I thought we had it licked but the problem kept recurring. The QC10 upper and bolt have been rock solid. If someone else makes a lefty bolt that works, I’d try it with the lefty side charging upper from Gibbz.
  7. Warranty probably voided. Have cgw parts and innards polished.
  8. I am having extraction problems. Have a few things to try!
  9. Will do. I’ll also try some Montana gold reloads.
  10. A friend had issues with not going into battery with extra power extractor spring. He didn’t try tuning it, though. We’ll see.
  11. I reload. Mixed brass, 124 gn gallant, pf 133. Not a powder puff load. Have tried 11 and 12# recoil springs. I have some factory ammo, was planning to try it.
  12. I’ll look for those. Thanks!
  13. Unfortunately, it still occurred after replacement extractor. Three time in 150 rounds. Back to the drawing board.

    Disco revisited

. I went with red loctite.

    Disco revisited

Pretravel screw (upper) on the CGW “old style” trigger. As it loosens, it moves forward, blocking DA reset.

Yes. Or the most obvious thing, that I didn’t check...the pre-travel screw had loosened. Arrggh.

    Disco revisited

I fit the CGW RR kit on my Shadow 2 along with some polishing of internals. Very happy with results. Initially, the disco needed fitting to achieve SA reset. The DA reset seemed fine. Happy with how that turned out. However, after 200-300 rounds, the DA suddenly stopped resetting. After checking everything over, it became apparent the disco needed further fitting. I removed material from the appropriate surface on the disco and now DA reset is great. My question is, why would the DA reset be good initially, but after shooting the pistol a bit, then require further disco fitting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Interesting. Will do. Thanks
  19. Thanks for the advice. It’s a new pistol and I’ve cleaned the extractor between sessions. Still occurring.
  20. I have a Shadow 2 that frequently fails to extract (1-2/50). Next round jams, empty casing still in chamber, magazine removed, then the empty casing can be ejected normally by racking the slide. The brass looks ok, the rounds pass the barrel drop test. Minor load, PF 130 or so. I’ve increased the recoil spring weight to 12#, ejection is vigorous (8ft), tried polishing the face of the extractor where the lip of each brass round slides over it. Extractor “looks” ok under a magnifying glass. Any suggestions? I have a spare extractor (for SP01, should work I believe). Also a spare spring but unable to source a “heavy duty” extractor spring. Have never had this issue on a number of previous CZ pistols. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. This is an awesome thread, studied it carefully. However, I'm still not 100% clear on which surface of the disconnector from which material is to be removed for double action reset issues. In the pic below, the arrow points to the back of both the wing and the long leg of the disco, is that the area for material to be removed, or is it the "bottom" surface of the wing (I think it's been referred to as the "hook") which is facing us in the picture?
  22. Not really an issue for me in a competition gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Just the one side is all that was needed. Yes, we tried a number of things to increase tension between the extractor and the case, with little success. It’s spring loaded, tried a stronger spring, also tried removing some material from the extractor to allow it to travel in a bit further, creating greater overlap over the lip of the casing. None of those really made a difference, but once we made that support shelf, it has been completely reliable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
