XDman
OK, my extractor crapped out on me at todays match. Looking to replace it. What do you shoot, standard or AFTEC, or what?

jjanglin
Use the Ed Brown 40 extractor , aftec's are an expense not necessary in a forty limited gun as far as Im concerned, I use Dawson 38 super type extractor in my open gun put a lot of Aftec's in guns but dont use them myself. G-ManBart
AFTEC all day, every day, and twice on Sunday. My 5" Limited gun developed extraction issues, I installed an AFTEC, and it's never happened again. I've got other .40 guns with AFTECs and none has failed to extract with them...ever. jan13
I bought a .40 second hand with an Aftec. No issue and just seems to be going, so I would suggest an Aftec as well. - Cheers
blaster113
Running a Brazos barstock extractor that was installed in my current STI Limited gun; the AFTEC in my last limited gun cracked after about 5k rounds so I figured I'd run this extractor and see. so far after about 5k rounds no issues. Leftylivesmatter
I run a tuned Brazos barstock extractor in my STI Edge. Runs great, but I bend it every 2,000 rounds or so with this: Weigand Extractor Tension Tool
