  1. PT makes one exactly for that purpose. Try looking on their website. Happy Holidays!
  2. Just got a Prodigy DS and the chamber is pretty tight. Won’t chamber many of my reloads that feed in everything else I have. Clymer or Manson from Brownells? Suggestions? All of my reloads pass the Wilson and Lyman gauges. Recommendations or advice appreciated!
  3. @shredThanks brother! That’s exactly what I needed to know. I figured it was just the side “ribs” on the prodigy grip that needed to be reduced/removed. Not that simple, I guess. I think I’ll just go with the EGW for now. Can’t thank you enough!
  4. Anyone modify the Prodigy grip to accept magwells made for the STI grip? I know the Dawson tactical magwell fits, and that EGW makes one specifically for it. But others? I’ve got a box of Dawson ICE, SVI, and others. Would love to use one of them instead of buying yet another. Any help appreciated!
  5. Thanks! That’s peace of mind! I usually end up replacing the factory ejectors in most of my 1911/2011s and when SA started gluing them in…real turnoff!
  6. Anyone know if the ejector is pinned into the frame or glued? Springfield used to glue the ejectors into many of their 1911s. Just wondering if this one is different? Thanks for any help.
  7. Using stock springs and followers. I also always load using an Uplula and do the “load 4-5, flex them with the Uplula, load a few more” and repeat until I have 24 rounds. The 24th round is a bit tight in new mags, but they usually “break in” after a few matches. I have no problem reloading on the clock with a full 24-round mag. Hope you have better luck with yours.
  8. I didn’t read the date either! Wow…zombie thread. I will say that the Sig P320 with that frame mounted weight will NOT fit in a CR Speed Holster. FYI
  9. The stainless PT grip I have has rusted a bit. It gets humid here in NKY/Ohio during the summers. Not terrible rusting…but still happens even with lightly oiling it occasionally. YMMV
  10. I've been doing research but not coming up with many options. Anyone have recommendations for a shop that will mill for plates or direct mount? I asked about CHPWS and got mixed reviews. I had one of my Open guns done by Primary Machine and it was great...but they don't work on 1911s anymore. Others? Thanks in advance!
  11. All of my MBX 140s hold 24 rounds +1 in the chamber. I hadn’t heard of people NOT getting 24 in a few years…YMMV
  12. Anyone use CHPWS for their 1911/2011 optic milling service with the “cross-mount” plate system? I’ve got an STI 9mm I’m thinking of setting up for LO if it becomes provisional. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  13. I’ve Got xxl size hands AND left handed. My thumb blocks spent Brass ejection occasionally along with dragging on slide. Double-Tap, Phoenix Trinity, Limcat, Swenson, and others make “shielded” thumb safeties. This makes a huge difference and is legal in all divisions that allow single-action pistols.
  14. That is literally one of the funniest/wittiest things I’ve seen on this forum in years!!!! @GrumpyOne…genius!!!!
  15. Mine were really uncomfortable, and didn’t do a great job with noise blocking. I’d pass and go for custom plugs…ymmv
  16. That’s pretty much how they’ve always done it. They’re good holsters…but, that’s how they roll. Speaking as a fellow Lefty. If you decide to get one…you’ll learn how to make it work. But…yes, being lefty sucks!!!
  17. Was just killing time catching up on the forum and wanted to add my case head failure in my 320 X5 Legion. Didn’t do any damage, as far as I can tell and it happened on the last shot fired of a COF! I love my X5 and am not dog-piling on Sigs. But it’s the first case head failure I’ve had in 15 years of reloading and shooting USPSA. Just adding data for the “hive-mind”. Merry Christmas.
  18. Thanks for the replies. I called Sig and they said “send it in, it’s under warranty”. Replacing all my TTI base pads and going to some other option.
  19. I’ve been shooting and dry-fire practicing with this gun for about 9 months. Love it. However, last night while dry-fire practicing, I racked the slide after inserting one of my practice mags and noticed a pronounced drag on the slide. I opened the slide and noticed the ejector is now bent upward and dragging on the bottom of the slide. I’ve been shooting and cleaning and inspecting this thing and had no problems until now. Any advice? Since it’s part of the FCU…am I screwed?
  20. Dave Dawson told me that the surface friction of the 45acp on the inside of the mag tubes slows the ammo column from moving up fast enough to ensure reliable feeding. He talked me out of buying anything larger than 40sw for reliability. I ignored him…and purchased a number of 2011s in 45…and had many problems with feeding. Not chambering…feeding with the slide overrunning the base of the round. Only reliable in shorter mags. 126mm only…and then still inconsistent. Not trying to start an argument…but…thought I’d throw that out for your consideration
  21. Just picked one up for my new X5 Legion. I have huge hands (XL-XXL glove size) and this is MUCH improved for me than the medium sized grip module!!! My biggest complaint about the medium was I didn’t have enough room for my support hand grip on it. While the Large size isn’t huge…it’s quite noticeable. An unexpected benefit is that the beavertail doesn’t rub the heck out of my thumb knuckle either. I’ll probably buy another one to send off for silicon Carbide treatment and just sell the basically new medium size grip that came with the gun. I hadn’t seen much discussion on these Large grips, so thought I’d post for fellow “Baseball Glove” hands folks!
  22. Any experience with any of these compared to the other options?
  23. Just got a P10F Competition Ready model and have been breaking it in. Within the first 50 rounds I’ve had failure to reset the trigger issues. The gun fires a live round, slide cycles enough to eject spent casing and load a new round into the chamber…but dead trigger that stays all the way back when released. It’s happened 5-6 times per magazine. If the slide moves far enough rearward to load a new round, the trigger should definitely reset. So…anyone else have this issue?
  24. This is Ben’s first open gun build and he really did a great job! It looks even better since he finished it. I’m thinking about begging him to do machine work for my next Open build….please please please Ben??????!!!!
