tcs58
I just put the JP Competition Fire Control Kit in my BushMaster lower and now looking at grips. I'm leaning towards the MAGPUL MOE grip. It's economical and looks good. Any opinions? recomendations? Thanks Tom Schuster Sandusky, OH
EkuJustice
Either the moe or the MIAD is a good grip. It just depends on how big a grip you like. I have the MIAD on mine because I like the trigger guard attached and you can select whe back strap works best for you
J-Ho
I like the ergo grips.
Jesse Tischauser
The rubberyness of the Ergos feels best to me. I even went with the large grip because everything else felt too skinny.
2MoreChains
I went with the MOE. I liked the feel of the Ergo, but it was too narrow for me. Was considering the MIAD since there are so many options, but tried out a MOE, and MOE it was. Way better IMO than the A2 grip. Vincent C
I ended up with the hard plastic version of the Ergo, I didn't like the rubber feeling of the suregrip version. The MIAD is great too, especially if you don't like the narrowness of the Ergo.
ERIC
I've been using a MIAD but the combination of the inserts I use is the same as the MOE so I'll save a few bucks and get the MOE from now on. I've tried the Ergo but it seems too small. If you like the rubber feel of the Ergo and the size of the MOE, Magpul will be releasing a rubber coated MOE this year. DocMcG
I enjoy the Tango Down grips. Cheers, Kyle Edited February 11, 2010 by DocMcG
mpeltier
I have the same experiance as ERIC. Tried the MOE and MIAD and the MIAD configured for best fit ended up the same as the MOE. All my rifles now sport the MOE.
ninemmbill
Another big +1 for the Magpul MOE. I don't think they make anything that I don't like.
Graham Smith
I got a Hogue rubber grip and it is quite comfortable. But like many AR grips, it just seems too small and doesn't give me as much distance from the trigger as I would like (and no, I don't have big hands). If I were going to try something new, it would be the MIAD. BTW, there are two versions, a version that includes a trigger guard and a less expensive version that doesn't. zero-down
I use the Hogue on all my rifles. Fits my hand well and provides a positive grip surface in any weather condition.
davidwiz
Jim Shanahan, a forum dealer, can take a plain AR grip and mold it up for you so that it fits your hand perfectly.
busyhawk
Ergo...the soft ones with the Gapper! They are great sponsers of our sport too! The Hogue grip was to finger unfriendly for me...where the Ergo also made my AR grip longer so my length of distance to the AR trigger now feels like my pistol. I was sent the Hogue with my JP but the Hogue rubbed the safety lever when taken off safe, I know there is a quick fix for that but... EDGE PILOT
[Does anyone know if the ergo grips come left or right handed or are they ambi? Thanks.
MikeFoley
[Does anyone know if the ergo grips come left or right handed or are they ambi? Thanks. I just looked at the two in my parts box, and they have a prominent thumbledge on the left side for a right handed shooter. Kind of odd, I rest my thumb on the safety all the time. aessu
There are both right-handed and ambi versions available. I run a MOE, with a piece of rubber cutoff from old bicycle inner tube wrapped around it. WECSOG ftw
Dustin Lohof
I think I've tried them all, I must have 20 or so grips in a box. For me, the left hand Ergo feels the best. They used to make a right, left and ambi. Last week I was going to get 3 more left hand ergos with some certificates I won at matches and was told that they are no longer making the left hand version. I think that's a mistake. At the shot show we were surprised at how many left handed shooters wanted to handle my left hand Saiga. Dusty
jasmap
I would say choose one of the Ergo's or get the MIAD. They are both comfortable and you can get a consistent grip with both. Either way, you win. Edited February 14, 2010 by jasmap
