  1. I know they are VERY strict about modifications in Stock class but is it legal to change springs? I'm playing around with my 34 and the stock recoil system and just hate the way the gun moves after shooting the last year solid with a 13lb ISMI....
  2. OK guys, after trying another case which will remain unnamed and being VERY let down I finally bought the Brownells case. Since there is next to no good pictures of this case I figured I'd put some up... however bad they may be In the pics is an 18" AR and 21" M2 w/+6 Nordic extension to give you an idea of size. Last few pics are of padding and zippers/stitching.
  3. All my notifications are working correctly now too. Thank you Brian!
  4. I haven't been receiving notifications via e-mail for posts or PM's for two days. Not complaining, just an FYI
  5. Chris, if you have any more issues this weekend let me know and we'll take a look at it after the match.
  6. I talked with Scott at A3 and he will be WAIVING the late fee on this due to the late announcement and our need for shooters in this match. You will see that registration has been updated and we currently have 32 shooters but it would be nice to have 30 more. Get your entries in and let's make this a fun match. I'll also be spreading the word at the two local matches this weekend.

Actually if the production #'s are reached that would be legal... STI did it with the Tru-sight and it was kind of a flop. http://jerrythegeek.blogspot.com/2006/04/ipsc-sti-trusight-accepted-in-uspsa.html http://www.uspsa.org/rules/nroi_rulings.php?action=edit&indx=24
  8. Any video of the gun actually running with these? Perhaps a few big sticks ran back to back?

I got to handle this gun yesterday and I'm VERY impressed. For those of you who shot SP01's I think this would be a natural transition. The gun appears to be hand fit, the fit and the trigger are phenomenal! You add in the fact you can convert it to a steel gun with one of the three barrels included and the weighted block (like the STI TruSight)it's an impressive package. Matt hurry up and get a load worked up for that thing! I wanna try it.... Damn Leo beat me...
  10. Phil, Great match as always!! The growth of this match is pretty amazing and directly related to the quality of the people running it. The RO's were the friendliest I've had all year, the facilities were amazing as always and the prize table was pretty awesome. I bet most of the others shooting it this year already have it on their must shoot list for next year. I did have one question though. Not that I mean to rush but where will the pictures taken at stage 7 and awards be posted?
  11. I think the real question is will Rob's new knees be legal in production? I mean sure, they duplicate the factory originals but common... they're just fancy go-fast parts.
  12. Bryan, is there a site that shows details of this bag? Looks like it just came out and I've only seen one outside pic of the 36" case.
  13. I looked at the Brownells Case but it's just hard to get an idea of the quality. The two things I don't like that I see is the case looks like it doesn't have much padding since it's kinda "floppy" looking. Also there is no provision for shoulder carry with a strap or anything. Are these non-issues for anyone who has it? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27126/Product/THREE_GUN_COMPETITION_CASE The case I'm looking for would be something like this..
  14. OK so I'm looking for a High Quality Discrete Double Rifle case. After three days of looking around on the web I've given up and need help. I highly prefer a side by side with divider and strap points for both firearms. Finding all this and big enough to hold a 45" shotgun seems to be impossible. The Mobile Armory from Hardigg would be my instant choice IF it was available. I called Hardigg today and their manufacturer bailed and they're figuring 6 months before the replacement is developed/delivered. I'm not afraid to spend a little money for a nice case. I'm actually more geared towards that then the $65-100 China cookie-cutter cases. So does anyone know of a case that would fit the bill or are there shops who will custom make soft cases? Something that would slip into a Pelican 1750 or Storm iM3300 would seal the deal. Quality wise I'd like something along the lines of Maxpedition or Eberlestock. Both make nice products but not one that fits what I'm looking for.
  15. Thanks Kurt! I did the bend/tweak method and was amazed with how easy it was and sensitive the latch is to a small tweak. After I'm confident with the function of this one I might mill my spare and see how light I can get it
  16. Pick the trigger of your choice Single or Two stage that takes std trigger springs then buy the JP kits and get as light as you can without doubling. I myself had to go up to the "4.0" spring set from JP as I'd get the odd double with the "3.5" set.
  17. Typically it's from an Idle Air Control (IAC) Solenoid trying to compensate for the load and the air passage it regulates air through is filled with gunk. Cleaning the throttle plates / Throttle body will generally resolve this. This is of course assuming no engine lights came on.
  18. I'd say contact the Man.. the Myth... the Legend..... http://www.henningshootsguns.com/ Henning is easy to talk to and knows Tanfoglios VERY well. He can tell you what's available, what to run, etc for that gun I bet. Not sure if he's available this week as he's on his way to a match.
  19. That's news to this Kansan. Is this something that has been around a while or did someone just think this up?
  20. Everyone does their own quirky routine. I will say some of the best shooters seem to do the same thing EVERY TIME. From everything I've seen the two best practices I've picked up are a actual speed draw after LAMR command and move the gun through the first few targets to get the sight picture I want (aka dryfire). Everyone is different though so do what is comfortable/necessary for you and stick to it. I find find myself not only much more relaxed but also be more prepared for that first few seconds after the buzzer as I've gone through the motions already.
  21. I run a Carlson's extended Light Modified in mine. My M2 also shoots a little left with the Remington Low Recoil that I use but I know that and compensate. I tried some Wolf std velocity and they shoot right and a little higher but the gun runs MUCH better on Low Recoil with the lightened carrier. No matter what as long as it's consistent I'm good with it.
