  1. I switched to the CR Speed from the Safariland 012. I didnt like the 012 as I though it was not secure enough.
  2. Wait...I'm confused...who took a dump?
  3. I had the same problem but when I hit the back button......no answers....oh well I just took the test a second time.
  4. Well I stopped at my local McMaster - Carr after placing a will call order and picked up the parts yesterday on the way home from work. I installed the parts and loaded about 50 rounds and had no spillage at all. Great tip Alan.
  5. Add my vote for the JP CTR-02. The workmanship is great and it shoots like a dream. Wish I could live up to its potential.
  6. Here is my squib rod. Its solid brass. The rod is .330 and 6 1/2" long. The handle is 1" diameter and about 2" long. I made a few of these on my home lathe. They work great and look like a they cost a fortune. Hey....what happened to the picture? Having trouble posting the photograph...
  7. mildot 1 Welcome to the class. I'll be there along with bwit. He and I took a class from Manny Bragg when we first started and found it to be invaluable. Starting out with proper direction is the best way not to develop bad habits.
  8. Jerry, Thanks. Great information.
  9. Get the Dawson Tooless Guide Rod and quit fiddling around with paper clips! They are a little pricey but I must admit they work great.
  10. This is a great thread. Shooting last weekend I realized I need to develop a way to organize the stage in my head from "Make Ready to "Holster". I find I'm too easily distracted by patching targets or scoring and I need more time prior to shooting to get it all in my head. I hate to look like a slacker but I realize I cannot patch or keep score once I'm third in line (" in the hole" )to shoot. It takes me a lot of time to get the stage in my head and I'm a long way from being able "To remove all doubt, and to prepare the mind so thinking is not required once the activity begins." Any suggestions?
  11. I run my Grandmaster with 7.6 to 8.1 gr. of 7625 with a MG 124 CMJ loaded to 1.260 OAL. I like the 8.1 load as it has less muzzle flip.
  12. Rifle Basix. Great trigger and an easy install.

Funny....I hear the exact same phrase from my dad!
  14. I forgot when I voted I also have one in Grey. The color makes no difference with regard to glare, it just ups the bling factor.
  15. I use Frankford Arsenal Brass Cleaner sold by Midway. It has a nice citrus smell, has no ammonia and doesn't leave any residue. My brass shines like jewelry when I'm done. Best part is it only takes a little bit to work well. For media I use walnut shells I buy from Petsmart sold as reptile bedding. It's the same stuff the guns stores sell only cheaper.
  16. Get those applications in, I don't want to see this class canceled due to lack of interest!
  17. Hey Eric......You look cool with a shaved head! Hey Stuart....This is the kind of kid the future of America needs. You should be very proud!
  18. He is now at 93% with my donation. What a great kid. Don't forget to post pictures after the shaving!
  19. In my experience having the recoil master fly out is a blessing. Replace it with a guide rod and spring and you will eliminate a lot of troubles.
  20. I'm in. Application will be in the mail ASAP.
  21. Have you seen this? http://find.mapmuse.com/re1/map_brand_mm2....SHOOTING_RANGES,
