  1. G19 in a crossbreed supertuck. I'd get the combat cut one (I self-combat cut mine). It's a great holster and very comfortable. If they made it with a straight drop (no cant) it'd be absolutely perfect.
  2. Great video!! No more chewed up looking sights for me.
  3. This topic made me laugh. There is absolutely no reason to even touch a glock mag for production (I barely cleaned mine and 30K rounds later they are fine).
  4. Yea, nutnfancy is a complete moron. Unreal. On another note pretty cool rifle.
  5. JMIS- certain accessories are allowed for production. For instance, you could add new sights, lots of trigger parts, ext. mag and slide release, aftermarket barrel, grip tape or grip stippling, guide rods and springs, etc.. Not all mods are legal but you could easily take a $500 glock and put in another $500 in accessories. Believe me, they certainly aren't necessary nor even worth your money. A glock 34 with a 3.5lb connector, wolff spring kit, and new dawson sights will only cost you about $85 extra and you'd have a VERY competitive gun.
  6. G34 has been WELL proven. Lots of accessories, easy to work on. Maybe not the best ergos but that is easily trained through.
  7. I had and immediately sold a SA Lightweight Champion. Not the Operator with a rail, but the 2 tone Champion. The gun was junk. Rattled like crazy, wouldn't feed hollowpoints, and the finish was chipping from the factory. Sent it to SA, they put a new barrel in that corrected the HP issue but the gun was worse fit than when I got it. They also claimed that the finish issue was not their problem. That was and will be my last SA. A buddy got a Sig C3 about the same time and it was 2x the gun. JMO. PM for more details.
  8. Ok, went out today and played with my 1187 some more. You guys called it. The 870 carrier is functioning just fine. My problem now is that my gun isn't cycling low brass (7/8shot) loads. It worked flawlessly with some high brass 4 shot. I put a 21" barrel on it so I'm guessing that is part of the problem. Any ideas as to how to get the gun to cycle the softer stuff? I remember a thread here where someone mentioned a part from Remington that was designed for the 14" LEO guns that would work. Bottom line though, the 870 carrier worked great.
  9. To reply, I tried the mod and didn't have much luck. The bolt would cycle but wouldn't feed the next shell. It's almost as though the bolt was outcycling the mag tube. I've got a brand new Nordic Tube and spring on it, and I haven't played around much with the project (I plan too) but I'm encouraged to see that it has worked for some. It definitely seems like the way to go if I can get it to work.
  10. I dropped an 870 carrier into my 1187. I took it to the range and it isn't working. The bolt cycles but it closes before the carrier can send the next shell in the tube up. I'm guessing that the lock or hesitation the gun used to have during cycling is gone and so the bolt is cycling too fast for the carrier. Anyone else experience this??
  11. That's great news! Any details on specs?
  12. Wow, I hope that Mossberg can pull it off and drop a ready to race 3 gun shotty onto the market. Sounds like it'll be just in time for me to start shotgun shopping. Please keep us updated.
  13. A great shooter at our local ranges got his master card with a G21 in production. He had to spring it really light (like 10Lb spring cut down) and the empties still leaked out of the gun. The darn thing worked though. I certainly can be done with minor loads you just have to tinker with recoil springs.
  14. I'm very interested in this for my 1187. What part is needed? If anyone has an item number(s) or part name from Brownells I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!
  15. I'm sure the match will take place, not so sure it'll be at USSA. Either way its the best match all year.
  16. The only problems I had (after 30-40K rounds) was trigger return springs, CZ Competition rear sights (breaking in half), and one slide stop. There was no way to know the slide stop was going to break. I made sure that before every major match (or around 3k rounds) I broke the gun down and replaced all the springs. I also checked the slide stop to see if there was excessive wear or any bending. Anything that looked too worn or bent got replaced. I replaced the extractor every 7-10k rounds (though I never had a problem). The CZ's work fine if you keep on top of the maintenance and make sure your springs are fresh.

    Should I Buy?

Angus was selling just Shadow slides on CZ custom.
  18. Now that Jerry has gone to Mossberg, I'd bet we'll see some 3gun specific models...

    SP-01 Sight Choices

Glad Dawson is taking care of you. I wish that CZ would run a more standard cut for their sights (Novak for instance). I've broken two of the competition rear sights and seen another competitor break one at a match. They seem to break in half at the point the sight fits into the dovetail and hangs above the rear of the slide. It's a bit bothersome...
  20. Hmm... as always, our Forum leader offers some very good insight. I'll have to spend some time chewing on that.
  21. Had a similar experience at the recent nationals in Vegas. On one of the field course the first target in an array was a zebra target at about 12 yards. That was the first target I shot and finished the array with 3 pieces of steel. I came into the position, shot the targets, and left. About 2 steps into the next position my mind had a conscious thought and I had a flash vision of a bullet hole in the black of the zebra target. It was too late to go back and I ate the mike. I don't know if its a good or bad thing (bad probably because I pulled a shot) but I had several instances where I wasn't processing what I was seeing until several seconds later during a stage... Just another experience to ponder.
  22. Scottsdale gun club is a must! Its the first gun shop I've ever been to that has an array of Open guns for sale!
  23. Looks great! Glad to see dates for Area 1 too, I can't wait.
  24. Someone please post updates!! I'll be there next week and would like the "scoop".
  25. Congrats on a great finish. I'm guessing you'll worry some people at the Nats in Vegas (see you there!).
