In example a S2 could be shot in either production, limited, or Carry Optic. In production and carry optic the hammer must be lowered before holstering. It also could be run in limited, however this would cocked and locked, holstered.
Right, I saw a midway video on that. Just for the heck of it I check my others 627,625,25,442,617, and 17 all have gap when cylinder is forward.
Primers are not high or brass related. All star line either new or de-capped and wet tumbled. But yes it does have that sort of feeling.
So long story short, 627 occasional random hard trigger pulls. Without rounds in it I can't get it to replicate. I measured the cylinder gap around .005/6. However when I push the cylinder forward I can't get anything in. My 929 still has a gap when the cylinder is pushed forward. I think I need a shim or two ?
I was also a big fan of using a M die. Going back years ago I can remember my uncle saying it's needed for over sized bullets. He was/is loading 44s with 432s and was needed to not scrape the lead. I was using one myself until I started using the double Alpha funnel. Works great as a semi M die. There are other such funnels out there as mentioned above. But I'm happy with mine that I got two, one for my 550 and 750.
Thanks! When people told me it's a two year endeavor last year I rolled my eyes. Im thinking to myself im 37, 6'3" 240lb aside from asthma great shape. Never thought it'd drag me down like this. And totally agree radiation was very painful and I still mess myself at times but were ALIVE!
Got some more news:
biopsy(s) came back clear! I also asked why I have pain in my rear again, surgeon said it's actually pretty normal for patients who had radiation. I also asked why I have limited/ fluctuating energy. He told me that the effects of chemo and radiation will last up to and over a year. I guess I cant complain about my hands and feet anymore. I am blessed that through the grace of God, my wife, parents and friends (especially my shooting Buddies) I have made it to this point.
I just went in for another colonoscopy. Leading up to this I've been in mild pain, but no blood. My probe came back good, doctor found another small polop and did biopsy the scar. He told me that pain was normal after radiation to rear-end. Now I'll wait for biopsy results. Feeling pretty good about this though. I just can't believe this has been going on for over a year now.
Iv been running shorts for a few years. Common icore load was 2.8 of #2 or ram comp with a 160/170 boolit. I bet 244 would be a good choice it has some low working pressure.
This i think is an important one to note. Example gun screws up, shooter "give me a 30", next string same. Iv even taken a bad string to check sights if they got loose. Try to turn it into something productive.
I checked with Mike early this year he was working on some 617s barrels, with 627s possible in the future. Seems like this might be more trouble than its worth.
I would assume this would work? Trying to figure out a way to get a lighter barrel on this guy, Really dont want to spend $1500 Plus all the usual upgrades to go lighter.
thanks

I had the same issue, tried Dillon, mighty armory, rcbs and Lyman. Finally one day I tried an old Lee resizer, you got to be kidding. After trying dies that cost x5 the Lee worked go figure
I ran a Ruger PCC for two years. Since I'm in CT I can not have the others mentioned. The pros of the Ruger is that it will eat anything, low of stuff included. It's pretty reasonably priced, check the used market. There is some aftermarket add-ons. I think if I was going to get back into PCC I would get one of taccom barrels. The cons, triggers are ehh even the aftermarket ones arent super great. ) If there was a better trigger this would be my selection hands down.) It's heavy, this can be a pro and con. I can not complain as I bought two of these one for irons one optic, made it pretty well with both.
This is very subjective. My belief again just my two cents is as follows. When starting out the gun should be relatively heavy for the shooter, again this varries with person. As the shooter becomes better the weight of the gun gets lighter. My reasoning behind this is, when starting out your shaky, lack transition skills and trigger control is not the best. When you get better speed becomes more of a factor, as you have somewhat figured out the more basic skill sets. Hence going to a lighter gun at that time.
