  1. E3 is good stuff but I thought it was kinda dirty for what I was doing. I want to say I was running a 200g berrys for paper cutting. I had better results with competition and 310. Mainly as it was cleaner, nothing else really. Accuracy was about the same for all tests I ran. This was tried in 5 semi's and one 625. Side note if I could get H clays again I'd be in line.
  2. Hi George haven't seen you in awhile. I understand the manual function of editing an individual. However there is a way all match competitors can be updated at once. I just can't find this feature on a dang android platform.
  3. Not sure exactly where this would fall, however I would think someone would know this. Example: competitor(s) sign up a month plus and register as a "B" however now they are an "A". There is a function on practiscore to update all competitors when the tablets are synced. Does anyone know how to do this on an Android device? I can find it on an Apple but not on a Kindle. Thanks
  4. The relevance is that many people believe that SC is a "lower" or "introductory" disapline. People would not be making this a discussion if they did not have this mindset. fyi when shooting at tier 2 or 3 match if there is a mark on the plate it counts as a hit. Iv been with shooters who clearly did not hit the target, yet when walking out they will point to a edge hit on the bottom. The competitor is given the hit. I don't see the difference between a tier 1 or 3 it's paint. Just do it geeze
  5. No paint= non scationed. Period. You wouldn't have a uspsa, icore or idpa match without tapeing. It's part of being a scationed disapline. If a club wants to run rouge/outlaw/clubby etc steel matches that's fine, but not call them steel challenge. For the group that view this as a social activity that's great, you can talk and paint at the same. Just think of the steps your getting in. In the end we all want this to fun but fair, keep that in mind. Being lazy or frugal shouldn't be used a scapegoat.
  6. If plates are not painted in between each competitor how could one dispute any miss? If a club chooses to run outlaw matches that's their call. However if it's a sanctioned match they need paint. It would be the equivalent of not taping after a uspsa, icore etc string.
  7. Exactly. We make it a point to hit the edges, especially the bottom. Iv shot with err umm "sponsored shooters" and the shots were way off, my coonhounds would have trouble tracking them. Yet they go out with the ro and see a bottom edge hit, ",opph that's my hit, yup right there". Just paint the plates. We go though 2 cans a stage in a match with 6 squads. Maybe charge $7 ?
  8. Anyone try and put a probe camera though the powder check hole? I was thinking of inserting one in there and have it come up on my phone.
  9. If you want more crimp, thread the lock ring under the head.

Now that's going to set everyone back a bit
  11. Get a hold of Memphismechanic on here, he does s great job.
  12. I ordered one today. I like the fact that replacement parts are actually a real thing.
  13. I run lead in all my guns except comped ones. Cleaning the comp out is a real pain and is not worth the savings in my opinion. Another thing to consider is the bullet hardness, slow and low use soft lead bnh12 fast and high use hard 18bnh. It's all experimental.
  14. I took it apart and all the gears were half gone. Honestly my kids have heavier gears in their toys. I'm going to see what RC says about it not really impressed with the unit overall. Drum cap is sensitive to over tightening. in-between the Frankfort and the extreme 17 at this point
  15. I just cooked my rcbs wet tumbler, made it about 6 months and crapped out. Looking for suggestions
  16. It was bought new a year and half ago. It may have been out from Smith
  17. I put in two (2) .002 shims / bearings/ washers. I have run about 300 rounds though it no binding no hang ups. My total end play is about .005 at this point. I'm wondering if this was just wear and tear or was it always like this. I'll be honest until a month ago I couldn't really feel my trigger finger that well. Now that I have gained some feeling back I surely can tell the difference.
  18. These crimps are really light, almost can fully seat but a few get crushed. It's not like the heavy euro mil brass. For countersinks I have 45,60 and 82 degree. Would you recommend not using the 550 to swage ? Thanks for the help
  19. Iv got about 400 9s to swage. I was thinking of using a countersink and just touch the pocket. I understand this isn't technical but this ammo is used for steel challenge not bullseye. What do you think? I also was given a swager thingy for my 550 but never used it. Trying to keep this reasonable and no I can't just toss that brass
  20. I would believe the PCC is a carry over from uspsa and that's the excepted command they use.
